Guest guest
Lynea, you wrote " I recently happened to look at part of Dr. Cheney's Protocol from the Nat'l CFIDS Foundation - in it he is NOT against low-dose stimulants such as Ionamin or Symmetrel. " And for cognitive complaints, he says that " occasionally a pt. will respond to Ionomin or low-dose Prozac. " Maybe that sheet is out of date? Cheney has apparently changed his mind about the stimulants, since I read that now he says they are further injuring the brain. But if, as Dr. Goldstein believes, our prefrontal brain " sensory gating dysfunction can be traced to low NE and DA, " then we already *are* " whipping a sick horse " who wins the race and then keels over sick or dead (Cheney's metaphor for using stimulants now) if we try to (or HAVE TO) push ourselves to get anything done.`Could you comment, if you see this post? " Lynea, I don't have a clue on this one, sorry. The use of stimulants has never come up in my conversations with him. If I have a chance at my next visit in October, I'll ask. Take care.
