I am going for a dilation today. Trying to hold off the HM for a bit so I can

get some life stuff sorted. Hope your wait isn't too long!!

Went to see my surgeon today, and he suggested a dilation to see it that works

first. If not, it will be more surgery to make the cut longer into the stomach.

I understand I will have up to a 4 week wait for the dilation! So I guess

it's at least a few more weeks of pretty much only liquids!!!

Oh god I know lol I think out of the 8 dilation I woke up right at the end. I

would always start pulling on the scope to get it out.. Its awful..!!

Years ago I did a dilation first also. I was miserable and just didn't want to

wait for the surgeon's appointment. It lasted about a year, then I had surgery.

That was all about 7 or 8 years ago. Have been great ever since. Some spasms,

but I eat everything, just follow it with a glass of water.

The diagnosis took a while (extra fat gi who said it looked like losing weight

wouldn't hurt me... I'd like to tell him how annoying that comment was, looking

back) I just didn't have the energy to wait for the surgeon's appointment and go

through more decision making at the time. The thirst was overwhelming, I just

wanted to drink water.

 i remember that too , i stayed so thirsty and my tongue was always like

sandpaper. even feeling it with my fingers it didnt even feel like a tongue..

yuk... there are worse things in life than being fluffy.. one of them is being

hungry/thirsty and not  being able to drink/ eat... Kim Ellen

It is not going to come soon enough. I had a horrible sleep and terrible day

eating my regular pureed stuff. It feels like the hole is closing more each day.

Hope I can last out until Tuesday.

It's lunch time here on the 29th!

Soft food is going down better at this stage. My chest doesn't feel tight as it

did. It feels like someone removed the brick that has been sitting in there for

months!
