Guest guest
Hi ,  The thought occurred to me that besides the dilatation that I suggested to you last week, that the wrap portion of your HM should be considered. Did you have some kind of wrap done, and if so, did the surgeon consider the possibility that it might have been applied too tightly?  Given that the wrap is not the issue here, then I hope the dilatation makes all the difference in the world for you.  ________________________________ From: lindsayaus <lindsay_kite@...> achalasia Sent: Monday, February 20, 2012 4:32 PM Subject: Re: A week on!  I would not have been able to go out to work so soon after my HM. If fact 3 months later I would not be able to go out to work! There's not enough energy, and I need to eat sloppy food every hour or so get some nutrients in. Luckily I work at home on my computer and have been able to work and much or as little as I feel like. Good luck with your recovery and your slushy food! The worst part is the liquid diet, and I still have another 5 weeks of full liquids before I can progress to soft food. I am starting to crave texture! Oh well, will just have to adjust my thinking and be patient. And back to work tomorrow. I hope my energy lasts a full day, as I do seem to get tired quickly. But I am so grateful that it is today and not this time last week or 2 weeks ago! > (Melbourne-Aus) >
Guest guest
Some how, some way you will learn to eventually manage it. I am still trying too!!! ________________________________ From: lindsayaus <lindsay_kite@...> achalasia Sent: Monday, February 20, 2012 7:14 PM Subject: Re: A week on! Â The wrap was done only on one side. He seems to think that a longer cut may be needed into to stomach (which he doesn't normally do due to possible complications). If the dilation doesn't work he will make another cut but go lower! Hope that won't be necessary, but I am obviously no text book case! He also told me that I now have no motility at all! Gosh that was quick! > > > > So I have been out of hospital for a week, and it is 2 weeks since my HM. I am definitely getting stronger and almost feel " normal " .
