Guest guest
AIDS messages on grains of rice Lucknow, Dec 1 She believes in spreading big messages through a unique medium. Neeru Chhabra of Jaipur is using grains of rice to spread the message of AIDS awareness in Uttar Pradesh, and beyond. Following computer giant Bill Gates' decision to provide India with a massive aid for prevention of the dreaded disease, the fine-writing expert has sent him grains of rice with slogans including 'World AIDS Day', 'Understand Aids', 'Protect Yourself From Aids' and 'Create An Aids-free World' written on them. " It's a token of appreciation for his kind gesture to our country " , she says. She has coined slogans in Hindi painstakingly written on specks of rice. She displayed her talent at a small stall at the ongoing 'Lucknow Mahotsava' here. People are queueing up to read her messages Aids Ka Gyan Bachaye Jaan (knowledge of AIDS saves lives) and Pyar Karo, Pyar Baanto, AIDS Ko Jaano, AIDS Na Baanto(spread love, not AIDS) inscribed on grains of rice.
