Guest guest
Yep, manometry would win over the dentist for me too! About tomato soup, aren't tomatoes one of the no no foods for us because they are acidic. > > Oh just keeps getting worse for you DENTIST,,,awwwww...my personal phobia. Guest guest
Actually, lol!, tomatoes are on the list of foods that *should* help because they are acid. Acid foods are on the list of foods that GERD patients should avoid because they RELAX the LES. . . . Others are alcohol, coffee, tea, peppermint, chocolate, onions, fats (butter!) . . . . However, some GIs seem confused, and have recommended that Achalasia patients also abstain. . . . However, we really all differ tremendously from each other, so. . . . > > > Yep, manometry would win over the dentist for me too! > About tomato soup, aren't tomatoes one of the no no foods for us because they are acidic. > >
Guest guest
> I am regurgitating tomato soup . I would never use tomato soup at night, but I do like it. I use 's Chicken Noodle soup most nights, I take out the chicken. Then I add some small pasta shells with a lot of fiber. Remember you got to clean out the e before bed, drink 16 oz of water, then stand over the toilet, it will come out. After this you will have a good sleep. Yes,once in a while I have problems but rarely now I have learned how to " manage it " . Ray CA OC 81 > > 250 am. I am regurgitating tomato soup from supper and having spasms. Happy vday to me. Guest guest
Ray, thanks for the suggestion of flushing out the E before going to bed. I have found that drinking large quantities of water before bed normally causes me to regurgitate about a half hour to an hour after I go to bed which then brings on a coughing episode and then the severe chest pain. So I think I may try it an hour before bed because if I can purge the E before bed I have found that I am able to sleep through the whole night. As far as for Acidic foods, I would never darn try them due to major regurgitation afterwards. It is good to know that acidic and fatty foods are suppose to relax the LES but in my experience that has not occurred yet.
