Guest guest
It was not ordered, not sure why, but I also reacted to the CO2 used in the laproscopic surgery and had major problems breathing and they had to open and finish really quick. Sharon From: no_fn_rulez <no_fn_rulez@...> Subject: Re: I am a Newbie to the site achalasia Date: Saturday, February 25, 2012, 10:47 AM  > > Sharon > Curious. Guest guest
I continue to have spasms (I have the vigorus version of a), and take donnatol, Zegrid, and Tagamet (800 mg) pain med., Carafate at times, and the GI Cocktail at times. Cannot eat bread, so I still have problems and have a looksee or dilation about once a year and sleep elevated all the time. Sharon From: Kim <kimellenbailey@...> Subject: Re: I am a Newbie to the site " achalasia " <achalasia > Date: Saturday, February 25, 2012, 11:31 AM  i didnt get a fundo either, Sharron. i have no reflux. Guest guest
You have to eat meat on the rare side (live it!) and not the xtra lean. You need fat to help it go down. 3 yrs later I still regurge overcooked or too lean meat. My surgeon corroborated this. in Santa Barbara In a message dated 2/26/2012 7:03:46 A.M. Guest guest
I have to have everything cooked well done and very lean. The fat will go straight through me as I have no gallbladder (stones -- had to have it removed) to send bile to the liver to help digest............. Guest guest
Sharon I too had my gall bladder removed about 20 years ago. I have never had trouble with fat and always eat my meat rare. You might just try it and see if you react adversely. We are all so different. in Santa Barbara In a message dated 2/26/2012 11:09:28 A.M. Guest guest
, Over the years, I have learned and tried many things and I have to have crunchier and more done. I still have some life in my e and have many spasms even after having the HM without a fundo. I have the vigorous version of A.  I also have gastroparasis and IBS, and eosinophilic gastroenteritis (believed to be allergic to something) and major acid reflux. I went through all kinds of testing for the eosinophilic and was allergic to nothing, I take antihistimes everyday and it has not shown back up. But as sure as I eat something that has a lot of fat in it. It goes straight through me. We all are different. And this disease will treat all of us differently as we are learning and that is why we are so hard to treat.  Best Regards Sharon   From: julieok@... <julieok@...> Subject: Re: Re: I am a Newbie to the site achalasia Date: Sunday, February 26, 2012, 2:51 PM  Sharon I too had my gall bladder removed about 20 years ago. Guest guest
Kim, I have not had problems eating cornbread. That seems to work, because it does not have the gluten in it that makes everything ball up and stick together. So I therefore eat a lot of popcorn to satisfy my cravings for bread.  You are making me hungry. I grew up in the country in North Alabama and we grew a lot of our food; and we called Lima Beans........ Butter Beans.... LOL.... Wow what memories my childhood was great. I love country cooking.  Watch what your tummy is telling you, keep a close check on it.  You know your body better than anyone and listen to it. Sometimes a barium follow through can tell the doctor a lot.  Sharon ---   Sharron. i can eat meat occasionally. i have eaten rare ribeye.. but cant eat too much. i can tell it doesnt really PLOP down there.. and like you i have to have crispy.. only way i can eat bread is crispy as a crouton... i am busy as we speak cooking a hen off the bone for some dumplings and cooking green limas etc and going to make cornbread. of this.. i wont eat anything but maybe some broth of the dumplings and maybe some beans.. but life goes on, doesnt it? LOL...Fried catfish (real crispy) seems to work ok.. but one filet is all i can do.. i am noticing some symptoms lately( i had the myotomy in september)  that are not too good and make me feel anxious. i find myself being able to eat as well as i did inititally and i am getting concerned. i am just going to watch it. guess that is all i can do for now. Guest guest
Hi Sharon,  I was just wondering, my doctor thinks I have eosinophilic gastroenteritis because I keep getting reaccuring viral infections that ulcerate in my mouth. Did you get these too?  Kim A ________________________________ From: Sharon Cline <sharon_cline@...> achalasia Sent: Monday, February 27, 2012 12:42 AM Subject: Re: Re: I am a Newbie to the site  , Over the years, I have learned and tried many things and I have to have crunchier and more done.
