Guest guest
Yes, last saw Dr Chicoine the MD and Dr McGuire the Ph.D. in Feb. You get both when you visit. Dr. Chicoine happens also to go to St. Church where we go and we see him off and on there. I've been emailing them off and on during this journey. Dr. McGuire was the one who recommended using the Picture Pocket Calendar with four years ago to help organize his day. At that time Dr. McGuire visited at 's house and talked to staff. BUT, the calendar is not used by staff to it's fullest, example last week was 's B'day no pic in that slot, the next day the dentist no pic there either. It is on 's ISP (Individual Service Plan) as a goal and the goal sheet gets checked off it is done on Sundays but, how can staff review the calendar with if the pictures aren't there? The Adult Down Syndrome Center has a community outreach person who was supposed to follow up with the staff at 's house on the calendar but it has been sporadic over the years. Now she finishes work at 3 PM so can't talk to residential staff. I will be talking to Dr. Chicoine about this also. I have talked to the home manager and case manager about this and get no comment or some excuse. It is on my list again when we sit down soon to talk. Dr. McGuire said they were friends of yours Joan so I will be sure to tell them you said hello. Louise
Guest guest
Have you seen Dr. Chicoine before or been to ADSC before? If not, you will like him. Do you not have an appt with Dr. McGuire as well? You might find him very helpful as his experiences with adults who have Down syndrome can't be beat....that is, of course, true of as well. Tell them hello from me. They are two of my all time favorite people. j At 06:16 AM 9/30/2003 -0400, you wrote: >No surprises yesterday with the psychiatrist. Guest guest
So I went for my appt today with my surgeon he said that he could not help me. That I need a specialist, (I'm like no duh?) Lol I have my appt with Dr Kline at USC next week, I have my fingers crossed he has some answers for me. One thing my surgeon said is that I shouldn't have a second HM, does anyone have any insight on this?
