Hi Group! First I want to say to those who are struggling that I truly feel for

you. It got to a point I could not even swallow water, it would squirt back

out. I had terrible crushing spasms. Most times when I tried to swallow

anything I would get a spasm and then saliva would churn and churn and I would

have to keep spitting to get rid of it and whatever I tried to eat would come

out too. Yes Somehow, like most of us, I did manage to get enough high calorie

food in me to keep me going, but certainly not healthy and not consistently.

After my operation...I think 2-3 weeks on soft diet...I was FINE! And I still

do not have a problem swallowing my food, or drinks. I had my surgery done

laproscopically at Albany Med in NY.

3 years later I have a question of my own. Is there anyone out there, post HM,

who has had stomach problems? Such as...extreme acid, nausea and lack of

appetite? My stomach is WRECKED and they are trying to find out why. My GI

ordered a gastric empyting study..normal. Tomorrow I have an upper GI. In the

meantime I am barely eating anything, not because it wont go down, because my

appetite is gone and my stomach is sick. I am on double acid blockers and Zofram

for nausea. Wondering if possibly my " wrap " has come loose? I do suffer from

progressive cirrhosis of my liver (Hep C related). The dr did see erosions upon

EGD. I know you guys are not docs but if any of this sounds familiar post

HM...please let me know..THANKS and hugs to all
