Love, Barb Re: Update Well, Ive done TWO rounds of Anti biotics. and Nada. Just finished up the last batch on Sunday. No change. Got 7 hours of sleep last night, Thanks to one of the very last ( only one left) Vicodin i have. But thank god i got the sleep as i ran around all day with my mother and sister. My sister bought a house. ( yes im jelious) Her hubby managed to get disability. Burns me up that he managed to get 10 times what i get cause he has worked more. ya he worked more cause he didnt even bother to finish high school, let alone go to any college or even a trade school. SO while i could have been working instead i was going to school and then Cosmetology school. I did have a part time job and helped my parents with their business. SO its not like i wasnt doing anything. But Now IM paying for finishing HS and Going to a trade school. Guess i should have not bothered and just worked instead. Nice. yep im grouchy. lol Oh well thats it. Hope all is as well as can be. Guest guest
Hi Ross, Just to put my two penniworth in on the subject of virus concern, speaking to someone learned on IT who has heard of various problems being current,a couple of names commencing W95....... have come up and someone else by doing a survey felt that the W95 may well be connected to WORD 95 software, people with Word 98 or NM2000 were not affected. Guest guest
The way viruses are named is about what they affect. W95 - Windows 95 (or later!!!) W32 - Winsock drivers(All windows) W97 - Word 97 I can't find the page on the net that details everything thats in the name, but @MM on the end means it mails itself using your program. A couple of pages worth looking at on the net: http://download.nai.com/products/media/vil/pdf/free_AV_tips_techniques.pdf http://download.nai.com/products/media/vil/pdf/av_white.pdf Free virus information from McAfee in .pdf format (you'll need acrobat reader) > Re: Update > > > Hi Ross, > > Just to put my two penniworth in on the subject of > virus concern, speaking to someone learned on IT who > has heard of various problems being current,a couple > of names commencing W95....... have come up and > someone else by doing a survey felt that the W95 may > well be connected to WORD 95 software, people with > Word 98 or NM2000 were not affected. I've had some coughing jags before, but nothing like what you are having. I can well remember when I had meningitis the first time. It started by feeling like a cold coming on with a headache. I was coughing some, and each cough seemed to rattle my brain so hard and so painfully that I had to try preventing each urge to cough thereafter. It isn't easy trying to hold back that need to cough (or a sneeze for that matter). By midnight of the first day, not knowing I had meningitis, I had coughed myself sick and silly. Then the heaves started until I was throwing up the previous day's lunch. LOL. Then the dry heaves, which I think are the worst. Yuk! Well, enough about me. I do hope the ENT can help you. A CT scan isn't much of a big deal UNLESS you are allergic to the iodine IV contrast dye (if they use that), of which I am. Then you have to be careful. When I had a CAT scan and they injected me with the iodine contrast dye I broke out in hives. The nurse assistant noticed it right away and they gave me a shot of benadryl to calm the hives. They then told me I would forever be allergic to that stuff, so I always have to tell people about it before any such test or I could die and that would ruin my whole day. Once I needed an IVP test of my kidneys and I mentioned my allergy at the last minute and they freaked out because they were about to inject me with the dye. They then had to cancel the IVP. They made me take Prednisone for 3 days before I could have the test WITH the iodine. Those were some of the worst 3 days I ever had! I don't know what dose of Pred I was taking but my stomach felt so bad that all I could do was keep eating ALL the time. It wasn't until the evening of the 3rd day that my ex-wife mentioned she had some Zantac that might help my stomach. I couldn't believe it took so long for her to realize she could have helped me! So, please be careful. We wouldn't want something to go wrong and hurt you because they don't tell you everything they are about to do. Guest guest
Um, Iodine IV? ACK. They just said it was easy and was nothing. Its of my sinus's so i dont know what they do. Its my first time. IM still coughing just as much, my sleep is so broken up because of the coughing. Ya i get headaches too when i get to coughing alot. I just keep a drink nearby and lifesavers or something like that to suck on. Seems to help but sometimes nothing does and i just cough my head off. Thanks for the concern, i think half of my family thinks im faking it. Melinda At 12:53 AM 4/14/01 -0400, you wrote: >Melinda Sprague wrote: > > > " . . . At the hospital, the told me that the stones when I am in pain flair up the fibromialgia, so maybe thats why the pain is never gone from there on that one! I am scared about what the dr told me and am nervous but need to get this checked out and all. I am aup agin for another diff sleeping tonight! **sighs** The pain is just real bad. But its embarassing to meright now, last night it hurt for me to have my bra on!!! thats never happened to me before, it was scarey! Guest guest
Dearest Georgie, Ya poor sugar! You go girl - phone that Dr and tell him that you are not doing good!! Thats what they are there for sweetheart! Its their job! Your family is scared and sick of you being sick... hmmm.. well I think your feelings come before your family! I am sure you are sick of being sick also!!! Have you heard from the Dr yet? How you doing now sweetheart? Much love to you dear one, Aisha. > Hi, This isnt gonna be long but thought I would give you an update. I have been really quite sick since my surgery but have tried to play 'tough' till today and gavein! What I mean is that I finally called the dr and told him that Im still very very sick! I havent had an appetite since the first surger 6 weeks ago! I feel nauseated and have a lot of dry heaves. I cant eat more than 3 or 4 bites literally and cant get down much fluids I fear it cause I feel like Im gonna throw up everywhere. Downfall is that w/o fluids the surgery is a waste the stones will stick together and I will be sick again! So...we are taking it one day at a time now! I talked to my fam prac dr and he said that IF and it could be from the surgery that anytime they are in your tumm like that and are anywhere near and theyd ont ahve to even touch your tumm in there that you can feel that way. But he said that if it ISNT it...then I have to come in and get bl owrk or whatever done cause it could be very serious. With my lower immunit he dosent take anything as 'game' he gets it down hard so nothing can get out of hand hopefully! He is a good dr! He looks after me well! But I fear it could be osmething bad but Im trying not to worry till I hear from the surgeron tomorrow! Thanx for the prayers, my family is scared and tired of seeing me 'sick'. Guest guest
>>I always have to do the 24 hour "pee" tests. What is the 48 hour test all about. Hope you feel better and soon!<< The 48 hr pee tests are really just 2 - 24 hr pee test just one continuously basically after another! They had to test for so many diff things this time that it was gonna have to take 2 of them in order to be enough I suppose for the test! Its not fun but at least it dosent hurt that much...for me it does though cause the stents make me strain bad nad they rub up against my bladder...when I strain the pain is VERY severe! Guest guest
Hi Denisa, Have you tried stopping the anti-migraine meds and tried other painkillers? My pain doc always tells me that sometimes it is just a matter of hard work in trying to find the right meds to treat the headaches. So all hope is not lost yet!!! With the cyst, if I can find a doctor to take me seriously, hopefully something will be done. The cyst cannot be completely removed, it will just grow back. But they can shunt it to keep it drained. Nah, no blubbering idiot... Just a frightened person, that didn't know what to expect ) You had every right to be scared... That's called Normal!!! What an ordeal to go through... I'm supposed to be getting mine done here in Feb., they let me go a year this time ) but I haven't made that appointment yet either... Do you get to have a make up Birthday ??? Sorry April is ill again ( I will get her out a card... You try not to worry, I know, That will be impossible until you get the word from the Dr. But try a little, OK!!! I'll be worried right along with ya... Love Ya !!! Helen Well, I just wanted to drop in and let you know how I spent my Bday.LOL. I went to MD Hospital ofr my 6 month FU and the nodule was still there and had increase some so the Dr. wanted to do a needle biopsy on it, well, I was a blubbering idiot, what can I say, I cry really easy, well, anyway they are so nice smart and kind there, the procedure was a piece of cake, it is amazing what they can do now a days. Like it was hooked up to the puter screen, he did another mamogram and it was gone, just like Harry Potter. LOL. He said if he was a beatng man, he would bet 90% that it was not cancer and if it is cancer it is the world's smallest found in the breast.LOL. Well, any way, I will not get the results until Wed or Thurs. I was really shaky and nervous and weak this morning, but I am ok now. So, if any one out there wants to share their experience dealing with this with me, it would make me happy. April has been sick all week, same oh same old. She missed one day of school. Guest guest
Hi Marsha, Thanks for writing! How are you? May I know what happened between you and your mum? is there some friction going on? As for my mum, she left us a year ago due to diabetes complications. Ling Re: update Ling, How are you doing??
