Guest guest
Kathy My goodness, is having to undergo so much. I am glad to hear her spirits are up. We will keep you all in our prayers, and thanks for the update. Sharon H. Mom to , (15, DS) and , (11) South Carolina " Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. " update Hi everyone. Well here goes. The gallbladder removal went very well. When the surgeon tried to work on the imperforate hymen she encountered a problem. The reason that she was not releasing blood was that her vagina never really formed. All she has is muscle. So basically they have to create a vagina for her. They are going to use a piece of her colon to do that. They have to get her colon cleaned out of stool for infection reasons and then do the surgery. The doc doing it is the best of the best around here and he will be assisted by yhe doc that did todays surgery. Poor thing probably will be pooping all night although she should not have much there. One good thing they are giving her miralax in drink so she finally can drink. She was awake and joking with me after the surhgery so she is ok. She was completely stable during the procedure. I am just worried that something will go wrong with this. My daughter who is one year younger than her is just beside herself with Kathy

PLEASE pray for favor, to guide the surgeons hands, to keep any bacteria and infection away and that this will be a success, that she will not lose any more weight and will get her appetite back( she will not be able to have any solids for days after so she does not have any stool enter the area). Also pray for my other daughters and my family that we can get through this. I am trying so hard to be strong for the other kids but it is so hard. She will be back in the OR I think 9 am tomorrow. Thank you everyone. Kathy
Guest guest
Ok. The doctor that did yesterdays surgery decided this morning that she did not want to risk there being any fecal matter in her system and therefore introduce sepsis so she is going to be released tomorrow and then go back next week. I trust the doctors and God has put the best surgeons in our paths. She was good today. She asked to get up several times to use the bathroom and she actually has not had any pain meds since last night. What a trooper. She has not moved herbowels today( but then she did go alot last night in prep for the surgery) she has gas and ate and drank a bit here and there. That is my biggest concern that she will not eat. Thank you all for your prayers and please keep them up as we are not out of the woods yet. Kathy update Hi everyone. Well here goes. The gallbladder removal went very well. Guest guest
I had to so seriously think about this Ann!! I am glad that it's April Fool's Day, because I am discounting at least 1/2 of this to a joke!! Glad to hear from you!! Hope all is well. Take care, See what's free at AOL.com. Guest guest
Ann, Please tell me this is a joke!? I am 5'2 also and that is really low. ~ Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming - Wow! What a ride!~ Unknown Update Hi ladies,I've been doing pretty well with my weight loss. I've lost 185 pounds so I'm down to 100 pounds. I'm only 5'2" so I really need to lose another 20 pounds or so to look my best. I feel like such a pig since I can't fit into a size 2 yet. At least my size 4s are getting looser. I'm such a slacker. I only spend 3 hours a day at the gym. I really need to up it to 4 so I can break this plateau. No pain, no gain! Ann

You can discount all of it as a joke. Well, I am 5'2 " so I guess that much is true. I've been holding at a chubby but healthy 180. I would like to get down to 150. Maybe 140 but right now I'm not willing to work hard enough to get there. I was stupid enough to go back to grad school on-line so I added to my overload and stress which wasn't very smart. Overall life is good but too busy. Ann

Guest guest
Hello , Your young men are an inspiration to me. Please tell and that they can count on me to offer prayers for them each and every day. They made the choice to do something that will help to protect all of us and for that I am very thankful. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate and love each and every one of our men and women who have chosen to go out into the world to help make it a better and safer place to live for the rest of us. The time it takes to say prayers on their behalf is a tiny thing compared to what they are giving all of us. I do not take it lightly and I do not take it for granted for even a moment. I hold each of your boys in my heart each day. I appreciate knowing their names so I can make the prayers on their behalf more personal when I am talking to God. Each man and woman in the service, regardless of where they are serving, are serving those of us who are here at home. They sacrifice by being away from loved ones and they give up the everyday comforts of home. They deserve to have our appreciation and our support.
