Guest guest
Try Organic Smooth Move tea. It works wonders. It's made by Traditional Medicinals Herbal Supplement. You can get it in any drug store or Amazon.com  Suzanne From: s.snelling@... <s.snelling@...> Subject: Bowel problems after HM achalasia Date: Saturday, May 5, 2012, 9:01 AM  Hi all. Guest guest
Taniea has severe chronic constipation too. Her pediatrician said sometimes when they do these kinds of surgeries and procedures it can make you lactose intolerant either temporarily or permanently. Taniea has been given Miralax as it is very gentle and safe for everyone. All it does is draw water into the bowels. She liked it... says alot considering she is 13. But now is on lactulose which has a coconut flavor. Anyways just wanted you know you are not the only one . Guest guest
Could be a blockage in the intestines due to the severe constipation. The constipation could be due to medication you are taking. I know that after my HM they said to use a stool softener or products like milk of magnesia to help prevent constipation. Definitely should be checked out though. S -- Bowel problems after HM Hi all. Guest guest
Everybody is different but I had the opposite problem. Also, diarrhea and esophageal spasms seem to go hand-in-hand for me. > > Hi all. > > I had an HM at the end of Janurary this year. Guest guest
Hi I have not had a HM but several years ago was always constipated, tried Milk of Magnesia 1/2 strength, worked great in a few hours. Then I found it had magnesium in it so for last several years have two 250 mg daily. Now have regular BM daily but must get some fiber, select cerials and English muffin with a lot of fiber and BUTTER that opens the LES and relaxes it. Later found out that Magnesium is needed for the heart. Many people on this site use magnesium. I manage my Achalasia so wdll never have a HM or dilation.I was desperte at times but once I found out how to manage it, now generally well. Every night I clean out the e with a lot of water, regurge if necessary. Ray CA OC > > Hi all. > > I had an HM at the end of Janurary this year. Guest guest
As my diet has changed to more carbs then I really need and fat as well, I have had trouble with constipation as well. I had to drink Miralax every day to stay regulated. ________________________________ From: " s.snelling@...
