I am telling myself that at 2 weeks plus 2 days post op that the HM and Dor were

a grand success. Although my hunger, etc isn't back yet I am able to get just

about anything down. Still taking it very easy texture wise but have had the odd

treat. I haven't needed the PPI for two days and nothing for pain in a while. I

haven't used diltiazem in a while either.

I look good. I have colour in my cheeks and energy. I could just kiss my

surgeon!LOL

I saw the surgeon yesterday in Halifax. He says that I'm doing very well. I have

no more restrictions. I can go back to the gym! He wants me to get a scope done

every two years. I am off of all of my medications except for my antidepressant.

I am impressed! And happy!!!! :) he told me I made his day yesterday!

Jenn, this is wonderful! AND, it just keeps getting better! I finally dropped

the enzymes last week (four months plus post Heller), and everything keeps

working -- though I do think they were a big help in getting my tummy used to

working again, lol! Gosh the poor thang had had hardly a thing to do for six

months before that. I still have an occasional bad afternoon or evening, but

man, what registers for me as bad now is not remotely to be compared to what bad

was six months ago. Now, it's just a slight sense that I've eaten too much

without adding enough liquid, and maybe a bit of regurging. Haven't had to use

the cup in the car for three months!! And I am not constantly evaluating if

I'll make it for a half hour away from a " regurge station " grin. And haven't

even used my blender in a month. Or checked to make sure I had enough soup for

the week. Still trending to soft foods, and maybe I always will, but no

comparison with that gawdawful feeling of taking three swallows of coffee and

feeling it come right back!

Keep it up!

Coffee was my worst offender for spasms before I had my surgery. I had gotten

into drinking herbal tea instead. I have had coffee three times in the last week

with no issues. I haven't had a spasm in probably close to three weeks. I'm

learning to start loving this body all over again LOL

That is good to hear. I was able to do a phone follow up with my surgeon's

office so I didn't have to drive 2 1/2 hours. I have two more weeks before

all restrictions are lifted. I am not to lift over 20 lbs. Eating is

fabulous. It is nice to have a better relationship with food. Here is to

continued and lasting success.
