Guest guest
Hello all - I am new to the board and very glad to have found it. I had a myotomy with fundoplication in 1992. Over the years I have had about three dilations to aleviate swallowing problems. I am having increasing problems with pain and spasms again and my esophagus is not emptying well. The gastroenterologist where I live is not willing to do a dilation but is willing to do a Botox injection. So I will have an endoscopy with Botox tomorrow. I have had countless endoscopies but have no idea what the after effects of Botox will be. Will I be back to normal for activities the next day? Thanks for any tips. Guest guest
Probably. I can relate to your comment of about GIs unwilling to do things. These sadists don't care about pain. Mine tore up my LES and performed the botulinum toxins numerous times. Botox failed to ameliorate pain or spasms. Steve > > Hello all - > > I am new to the board and very glad to have found it.
