Guest guest
Just want to say, the surgeon was right: it's continuing to get better. Slowly, slowly, slowly -- but so far almost all in the right direction. No PPIs in a month. Had a tiny " pizza " (cheese on a flour tortilla, lol!) for dinner. I've gained enough weight! Twenty five pounds! But you know: it really looks good. Never thought I'd say suchofathang, but man: when you look like a concentration camp survivor, getting back a few of your curves is *very* nice. . . . Yep: there are still things that have problems: rice, chief among them. I just don't seem to be able to remember two swallows of liquid for every one of rice. Luckily, I'm about to go back to low carb, so rice won't be any real problem (very often). And any meat *really* needs almost too much chewing. Well, anything that's still whole on the plate. Ground is fine, and I still do a lot of chicken puree, just because I actually like it. And I still haven't figured out exactly what I can eat in public. But then, I don't do that often anyways. I'm *still* enjoying the wonderful wonderful feeling of drinking half a cup of coffee and *feeling* it go ALL THE WAY DOWN. It still feels like a pure miracle to me. I hope I'm able to maintain that sense of wonder. The hair loss has virtually stopped. Gonna be a ways back, but we're moving forward instead of backwards. And one day, soon, I'm going to start opening the bills from the hospitals, and see what the rest of the damage looks like. Guest guest
, Â I am glad to hear you are doing better and gaining weight! Pizza used to be one of my favorite foods but I still don't do too well with it. If you're gaining weight that definitely means you are moving forward. Good sign! I don't do too well with rice either. Probably a good thing and I too really like minced chicken. I put it in fettucine alfredo and it tastes fabulous!! I do miss burgers but like you said meat in general is too hard to chew. I have yet to grind up ground beef and try that but eventually!! Â Stay healthy!!
