Guest guest
So far so good!  He's off to a great start -calling me while on vacation, releasing me from more testing, and he's done 500 of these. Curious thing is this though, I told him the main reason I've waited so long to do the HM was because I'm scared to death of increasing spasms that take me down and out. He said he's never had a patient experience this - never heard of it. Could be a good thing...but I know so many of you in this group have had quite a different experience. Guess I'll have to hope for the best. After months of being " put " off, and " one more test " please, and " no, there's nothing else we can do " to actually meet someone who KNOWS how to ACT, instead of study it some more, feels like a ton of bricks off your chest, eh? Sounds like a keeper! Congrats!! xox > > I feel as if I've escaped a bullet - the surgeon (haven't even seen him yet) called me from his vacation yesterday to talk with me and let me know that I don't have to have ANY more testing prior to the HM. So, no barium to deal with, manometry, etc!  I'm feeling much more positive about things now, and so grateful that he took the time to call - makes me more comfortable with him and haven't even met him yet. > > Shooting for the end of April to get this out of the way. Guest guest
That's for sure!  Guess it pays their bills though to keep retesting...if you know what I mean. Kim ________________________________ From: lindsayaus <lindsay_kite@...> achalasia Sent: Thursday, March 8, 2012 5:47 PM Subject: Re: Surgery prep  No more tests...yeah!!!
