Guest guest
Shoulder pain is beginning to recede. Still patches of hiccups, but fewer. Occasional acid reflux, but not quite heart burn. Have taken a couple of Nexiums, but I'm not seeing this as a problem unless it gets worse. Still on soft diet, as *I* define soft: if it's soggy after I swallow, doesn't matter how it started out. . . . Crackers are a wonderful example, lol! As is toast. But do have to be careful to remember to follow with enough liquids. Coffee, flat Mountain Dew (if too much CO2, makes everything bubble back up), cocoa, tea, water. About pain management: Yesterday morning, having slept through my 4 a.m. dose of roxicet with no ill effect, deliberately skipped the next one. Still fine. So at noon, switched to max dose of acetaminophen. Error! By six, I had become *perfectly* aware of the exact path of all five trocars. . . . And believe me, this is something no one wants to know, lol! So back to the roxi for a week or so. . . . Sometimes you have to pay for optimism. . . . That said, I really am doing wonderfully well. And am very grateful to the Universe for regiving me the ability to eat. Prolly nothing about our health is taken more for granted than simply being able to swallow successfully. Having lost that for literally years, it's beyond wonderful to be able to do so again.
