Subject: Suggestions wanted and needed.

We are looking into getting a second opinion for Taniea. Her current GI is from

the Boston area and he suggest that we bring her to the Childrens hospital

there, this makes me nervous because this is where he trained shouldn't he

already know what to do??? But I know Carolyn has suggested we look into taking

her to Texas also. I also have a fb friend who used Dr. Weigl (sp) in Tennessee.

My question is do any of you know or have personal experience with a really good

GI? She has Vigorous Achalasia so I am convinced they have to be almost better

then the best?

Thank you all in advance

Sharee-

I take my son to Children's Hospital here in DC. My son sees Dr. Bader and there

is another one named Dr. Kerzner that specialize in achalasia. I also took him

to s Hopkins on the recommendation of Carolyn but can't remember her name.

Carolyn, do you recall? Anyway they were very good too. Just a couple of

suggestions that are closer to you if you live in the Boston area. So sorry that

she is still having so much trouble. I know that helpless feeling. I hope you

find the help she needs! :)

After seeing a few different GIs, I found Stein in Arlington, Texas and

am really happy with him.

For my HM (if you end up going that route) I used Westmoreland in

Dallas. He has done over 200 HMs and as far as I know, is the most experienced

in this area.
