Guest guest
Hi guys, I'm an occasional poster but a regular reader. Brief history: - problems started June 2011 - hm/fundoplication Oct 2011 - dilatations Nov 2011/Feb/Mar/may 2012 Yesterday Had 4th dilatation since hm in Oct, and my surgeon said that he doesn't think hell need to see me for 3yrs!!! Not any where close to 100%, still need fluids to get most food down, but the thoughts of being like this and not needing more visits to hospital makes me happy!! Sure, I could be better, but I've put on weight and don't take any meds so I'm looking on the positive side !

Guest guest
Jen, it sure sounds like a lot of dilations over a one year period. So he did 4 dilations within an 8 month period and now he doesn't think he needs to see you for three years??I would still want to get checked once a year to make sure things are going well. But I am glad things are going well for you now!!  Kim A  ________________________________ From: puddleriver13 <puddleriver13@...> achalasia Sent: Wednesday, May 30, 2012 6:19 PM Subject: Re: some good-ish news, might give some hope to some members  Whew!
