Guest guest
And I have chest pain now as a result, which I've never had before :-( > > HI all > > Has anyone ever managed to identify any reasons or triggers for spasms?? > My HM was last October, had spasms a lot afterwards, but they eventually died down. Then I've had 4 dilatations since, and am due a 5th in May, very occasional spasms for the past few months but over the last 48hrs I've had 3!! One bad one in the middle of the night and a couple of smaller ones during the day. I can't identify any triggers for them right now, my diet is the same, the only thing that I could suggest is that I'm very tired and very busy at work (maybe a little stressed). > > Anyone got any ideas? > > thanks > (Ireland) >

Guest guest
I think it is different for everybody. Stress was a trigger for me, too, though it was kind of paradoxical. When things were really hectic and stressful and I had to work long hours at work, sometimes I wouldn't have spasm attacks at all. When the stress let up, k-baaam! horrible painful spasm attack. My husband first noticed this so I don't think I am making it up. It's almost like my body was holding it all together while it had to and then attacking me when I could finally relax. I also notice that when I am under stress I have more manageable NCCP more frequently than when I am not. > > > > HI all > > > > Has anyone ever managed to identify any reasons or triggers for spasms?? > > My HM was last October, had spasms a lot afterwards, but they eventually died down. Guest guest
Exactly. Mine do the EXACT same thing. My mom said her migraines were in that pattern as well. DURING the stressful time, you don't have spasms, but when you de-stress and relax, all hell breaks loose. Yep, I realized that immediately when I started having spasms...just find it interesting that my mom's migraines were the same way.
Guest guest
Hey let's rejoice My wife told me today that for the first time in 20 years I have a six pack. Every cloud may have a silver lining. Shame they are going to cut it open next month! Guest guest
From someone who gets migraines I can say that is spot on. As soon as the stressful periods lightens up and you think you can relax-boom-migraine! > Exactly. Mine do the EXACT same thing. My mom said her migraines were in that pattern as well.
