Guest guest
Are you worried they might vax her at school without your knowledge? If so, tell them now that you expect to give consent for anything like that. There is no law that you have to give a swine flu vax (since one doesn't even exist) so if one came to be, you cannot be required to give it to her. It is nothing you need an exemption for. Guest guest
- I might have missed a post or two - but were you able to hook up with her, or are you referring to Dr. Spencer? Also, what does " signing off " mean? Would that mean " stamp of approval " or an actual permission of sorts to do her protocol? The reason I ask is because Dr. Staninger is not an MD, and her patients do have to have an MD working with them in order for her to work with you (this is new). Dr. Spencer is a practicing MD (neurologist) who shouldn't need another doctor to be involved (unless, I guess, if you aren't going to see him in his office). Generally speaking, the protocol involves NO prescription drugs, no chemicals, and lots & lots of supplements as well as devices such as FarInfrared. The blood work is very extensive. If your insurance doesn't pay for it, I understand the cost is about $6,000!! (This is why I am so upset that I have not gotten a written report). Guest guest
Wow Bessie, that must be extensive, I would be really upset too! Maybe you could have them mail you the results--I guess it would need to be read by a physician that know about this disease. Guest guest
Rush - My insurance paid for them....never the less.... I have a copy of the results, but she tests for all kinds of things and puts it all together in something called a " toxicological dysfunction analysis " . That is the report I am waiting for. Guest guest
Dr. Spencer has not called me back. When I called the number the person who answered it said he had an " interest " in it; not that he treats it. That is why I think I'm going to have to go with Staninger. > > > > My naturopath doesn't want to sign off on staninger until he knows a little bit more about her methods. Guest guest
- I think you should email her and tell her what happened so that she stops referring people to him. If she's not taking any more patients, I don't know what you will do. She is in over her head and so far behind I doubt she'll get caught up unless she gets office/clinical support. She answers the phones, fills orders, answers emails, is writing a book, trying to get a study published, and somewhere in there she tries to take care of patients. Would you be able to see her in her office (i.e., do you live near L.A.?). That might make a difference. Good luck whatever you choose! Guest guest
He did end up calling me back but I missed his call. I'm going to try again. I'm going to consult with Staninger after all though. I figure having his contact as back up can't hurt though. To anyone considering consulting with her I would do it soon, they emailed me that she won't be doing it much longer. > > > > > > > > My naturopath doesn't want to sign off on staninger until he knows a little bit more about her methods. Guest guest
Hi Shirl, You can dry all your extra water grains for sharing purposes. Or you can eat them. To keep them happy at room temp you still have to feed them regularly. I normally ship water grains fresh to the people in the states, but dried if there will be shipping delays of over a week, like to Canada or overseas. Guest guest
I am so glad for the questions asked. I have been reading and learning. My challenge is trying to figure out how to get grains to my daughter in Central Europe. From what I understand from these messages is that I can just pull the grains before I leave on the airplane to visit her next month and not worry about them being in milk. Correct? It is about a 16 hour trip plus time to say hello, settle in, and then get to the grains. Thank you all, you are truly my kefir mentors Margy
Guest guest
Thanks! How long do I let the water grains sit and how often do I feed them? Also, one set of water grains formed a Kombucha type mushroom...can I use it to make a drink or do I toss it? Sorry for the delay in questions, but I have been experiencing computer problems and have not had time to mess with them as of yet! That means before all the sugar is completely used up and it is so sour you can't drink it. It should be pleasantly tart. > Also, one set of water grains formed a Kombucha type mushroom...can I use > it to make a drink or do I toss it? I pitch those. Guest guest
Thanks Marilyn, I was tempted to use it to try to make vinegar out of my husbands homemade wine. Are the water crystals that formed the mushroom still ok to use? Janet in NW Oklahoma --------------------------------------- I don't know why they wouldn't still work. You can use the scoby for vinegar if you want. When you give your wine oxygen, it will form its own scoby. Marilyn

Guest guest
I Understand how you feel. We were adventurous and went to the zoo Sunday afternoon. While sitting and observing the gorillas, a two year old sneezed straight into my 6mo daughter's face. I wanted to ask if she recently had vax for preschool but I bit my tongue. As we were leaving the exhibit, another child coughed repeatedly! We are soaking up the sunshine, when it shines, staying active, eating smart, taking our supps. and hoping we see May 2010 with all six of us safe from this manmade madness. Not sure what we'll do next week when they start lining up for shots. I have told our friends not to visit for a full month after any vax. Our Realtor's wife is sick with seasonal flu and a close friend of my 17yo is in the hospital with "swine" flu. So far no one else in our circle is sick. A school about 12 miles away had 60 students out last Wed. then 160 out on Thur. School was cancelled until today. My mommy instincts tell me to stay home for a few weeks and see what happens. Anyways, the mom told me that both he and his 2 yr old sister had shots yesterday, and when I asked which ones, she said she didn't know, other than the 2 yr old getting MMR. She just said all the usual ones(Ugh!). So, my question is what are the chances of my 2 yr old and 6 mo old getting something from them? Guest guest
Mom got talked into the shingles vax. Cost her nearly $190, as I recall.. very expensive, if you ask me. maybe it was 90 .. I don’t recall now exactly how much.. anyway, we have not had any problems. she hasn’t.. I say that but she’s got a lot of issues and I wonder how much of it maybe stems from the damage vaccines cause. Don’t know. She used to get a flu shot too but not every year. When she worked at walter reed army med center in DC she had to get one every year…. Guest guest
(http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vpd-vac/shingles/vac-faqs-hcp.htm) Per the CDC: "Transmission of the zoster (shingles) vaccine-associated virus has never been documented." That doesn't mean it doesn't happen, just that it's not been documented. Oh, this is great: "Should the zoster (shingles) vaccine be given to people who have already had shingles? Yes, it should be given regardless of a history of shingles. Shingles does recur, and there is no biological or epidemiological evidence to indicate that persons are at reduced risk for shingles for any period of time following a prior episode of shingles." So, if having shingles doesn't confer immunity, then why would the vaccine have special powers? Winnie questionVaccinations > My mother in law is going to get the shingles shot. Guest guest
It could be die off. Go to 1/2 teaspoon tomorrow and take note of any die off reactions. You may have to only take this small amount every other day and build up gradually. More so with empty stomach. A little less so with [hot/cold milk + coco powder + sugar]. I have much less gas with regular (non kefirized) milk shake. Better yet, I don't notice much if any with regular (non kefirized) ice cream. So I suppose sugar, or cream help dilute the milk in my case. I don't normally eat much cheese, or snacking on cheese alone, but I could probably say it is in the range of milk shake to ice cream for me. Now that you mention it, I think I may get a touch less of those symptoms compare to when I started taking kefirized milk. Or maybe it could be that now I take it with food (or cereals) instead of drinking it alone (with or without sugar) on empty stomach.
