If you have had an esophagectomy with a gastric pull up - then are your chances

for esophageal cancer reduced? Or to you still have increased risk of cancer of

some type? Stomach cancer because now your stomach has taken the place? This

has been really bothering me for the last year or two wondering about this and

cannot seem to find a good answer on searching the internet. I have been absent

from this group for some time due to feeling pretty good and my husband and I

starting a business and being SUPER busy with that AND having my 3 year old

grandbaby staying with me 90 percent of the time.

Any information you have would be helpful on this.

Currently waiting on a referral to a lung specialist due to aspiration pneumonia

which was found in Jan following a horrible attack of reflux which is finally

back under control. Pneumonia not getting better despite meds, inhalers, etc.

Poor PFTs and no improvement with breathing treatment. Chest xrays show no

improvement over 10 wk period.

Thank you
