Guest guest
how r u getting around with a blood pressure like that? did they say anything about bleeding from the surgery somewhere?just a thought. achalasia From: lynnej73@... Date: Sat, 30 Jun 2012 00:31:20 +0000 Subject: Lightheaded after HM? Hi. I am almost 3 weeks post op. I have been struggling with a dizzy, lightheaded feeling almost the entire time. I had bloodwork done and am not anemic and my other blood work was fine. I am drinking lots of water. I had an ekg and that was fine. My blood pressure runs low (90's/60's) normally but is especially low in the morning. My pulse was higher than normal too but only around 90. That has seemed to settle down. It seems like the dr.s are stumped and not concerned. Today, I kept track of calories and really pushed myself to get to 1500. I am wondering if I am just not eating enough? I am anxious that it could be my heart or something serious. I see the surgeon on Tuesday. Any thoughts? Lynn
Guest guest
I'm two weeks post op, and I haven't felt dizzy or lightheaded since I stopped taking the Lortab after a couple of days. Your typical resting blood pressure strikes me as being on the low side, and if you are like me, you're probably spending more time being sedentary than usual. So I don't find your lightheadedness to be particularly surprising, though you should definitely mention it to your physician at the follow-up. I've been averaging 800-1000 calories a day, and I suspect that's contributing to my feeling less energetic (stopping the coffee cold turkey hasn't helped in that regard!); that could be another factor in your case, too, as you suspect. Good luck, and let us know what the doctor says. > > Hi. I am almost 3 weeks post op. I have been struggling with a dizzy, lightheaded feeling almost the entire time. Guest guest
I've always been that way. Sometimes I wonder though lol! Did not say anything about bleeding. I was anemic after surgery and am not now. So I think that would rule out bleeding. Not sure though? > > > how r u getting around with a blood pressure like that? did they say anything about bleeding from the surgery somewhere?just a thought. > achalasia > From: lynnej73@... > Date: Sat, 30 Jun 2012 00:31:20 +0000 > Subject: Lightheaded after HM? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi. Guest guest
Thanks for answering. It is low but not abnormal for me. I have been taking B12 and that seems to be helping. The dizziness is not gone but I feel better today. Maybe I had a crazy reaction to the anesthesia. Seeing my surgeon tomorrow for follow up. Thanks for your response. Lynne > > > > Hi.
