Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I'm a 35 year old East Indian male from the San Francisco Bay Area. Been suffering from dysphagia, regurgitation, mild chest discomfort after eating, breathing problems (possibly due to tightness in chest) etc for the past 3 months. Have lost about 30 lbs in 3 months. I've read about 'A' for symptoms and considering the fact that I have not been able to get anything to go down (no solids and very little liquids) for the past 3/4 days, I'm convinced I have A. Wondering if there's anyone from this area so I can get recommendations on hospitals, specialists, treatment etc. If I have a balloon dilation, will that ever affect my body's ability to recover some LES function later? How successful is balloon dilation in general? I know my mileage may vary, but is there hope with balloon dilation? I will need to go through surgery for my thyroid cancer (I was diagnosed 10 days ago while they were investigating for my breathing/swallowing problems) very soon. So, want to avoid the HM for sometime if I can. Thanks, Sri
