Guest guest
Jen and group, I am also a new to the group and reside in GA. I have a baby girl who just turned 1 and am expecting another little girl the end of Nov. I also have 2 teen girls ages 14 and 17. The teens are both vaccinated. What made me start looking into the whole vaccination debate was the sheer # of shots they wanted to give my baby. I knew from extensively looking at animals vacs that there was NO WAY I was going to put all that into my baby in such a short time. As I began to investigate further, it didn't take me long to determine not to vaccinate at all. My baby's doctor is a family practice dr and didn't push too much just asked at 2 and 4 mos and of course told me how these diseases are still very much a threat. I declined based on religious beliefs but what I really hate about that is I feel that you are seen as some ignorant zealot that puts beliefs before the well being of your child. Of course, I know I'm doing what is the best choice for my child's health but if I put up that arguement ,my legal reason for not vaccinating may be called into question. On a side note, the baby has not has a single sick visit in her 1st yr of life!! My older 2 had 6 to 8 sick visits in the 1st yr,mostly colds and ear infections. I too am eager to learn about alternate healthcare for my family(ie homeopathy) but know very little on the subject. I am unable to do Sheri's class at present as I am expecting in Nov. Any reading suggestions on the subject would be great and I am already enjoying learing so much! Beth F -GA

What oils do you use to control your migraines? I've found that lavender and eucalyptus relieve muscle spasms and migraines. So far those are the only two, either alone or combined, that have helped so I'm always looking for others to try. PJWiliams

PJWiliams Hi PJ, I'm not Anya but I have a friend with a passion for gardening and arthitic thumbs who swears by my analgesic oil. At it's base is an arnica infused organic olive oil, diluted with a bit of fractionated coconut oil for glide and a bit of jojoba oil for nourishment. To this I add some peppermint, clove bud and sweet bitch essential oils. I love this for all musculoskeletal aches and pains. When I don't have time to mix up the sweet smelling end procduct I will slather straight arnica oil on my tired, aching and over used body! I think it actually helps. Jane PS Some gentle stretching might also help with the sciatica.

Hi PJ I find that infused St. 's Wort oil, coupled with any of the following are wonderful: Arnica oil, Creosote bush, lobelia, mullein leaf, and some minute amounts of essential oils such as helichrysum and lavender. SJW oil by itself may give relief, depending upon the severity of the problem. I have a very different philosophy about the healing power of " cooling " or antioxident oils, which all of the above are. I never use " warming " oils like peppermint or black pepper. I have a very successful business selling my triple-infused oils to local chiropractors and pain centers. I produce all the oils myself for quality control (except the EOs, I purchase those.)The health practitioners report that within one or two minutes they can tell if he patient will be responsive to the oils. Approximately 80% are, and they admit that is in line with their spinal manipulations success rate. They admit there is nothing better for the complete cessation of sciatica. Due to the soothing nature of my oil, it can be used on burns and sunburns, bruises and such. As I slowly get my perfumery website together, I will have a spot to sell the oil in one and two ounce quantities. I did mail order of them when I started, four years ago, but I was a bit overwhelmed. Now I think I can handle it ;-) Anya http://.com The premier site on the Web to discover the beauty of Natural Perfume " The Age of the Foodie is passé. It is now the Age of the Scentie. Guest guest
Hi , It is nice to meet you. May I ask what is HPE? What kind of surgery is planned? How many degrees is the curve right now? We go at see her Dr Nov 22nd to talk more about her surgery and to see if it would be best to go through the front or the back and to talk more about how I should postion her and how to transport her and how long her recover will be stuuf like that . She has a 54 degree curve in her spine and he said that a brace would not help she need to have the surgery. Sincerly P.s I have not yet meet another family personally but the is chat site similar to this onw where I can share my concerns and see what J.D share in common with other children that have HPE. > > > > > > Hello My name is I am the mother J.D she is 12 yrs old and > she > > > has HPE and Scolios of the spine we are going to see her back > Dr. in > > > Nov to set up her surgery . > > > > > > J.D is really small for her age she is only 46 inches long and > > > weights only 48 lbs she can not walk ,talk or dress herself she > > > totally relient on me for all her need twenty four seven and she > > does > > > not talorate surgery to well. > > > > > > I found this site the sametime I found another group of HPE and > was > > > looking for advice and info. > > > Sincerly (mother of j.d) > > > > > >
Guest guest
Hi , have they decided that she is done growing? I am guessing that they are planning to do a spinal fusion. I have seen one other child with developmental delays get a total spinal fusion. I will try to look up some details if you would like. > > > > > > > > Hello My name is I am the mother J.D she is 12 yrs old > and > > she > > > > has HPE and Scolios of the spine we are going to see her back > > Dr. in > > > > Nov to set up her surgery . > > > > > > > > J.D is really small for her age she is only 46 inches long > and > > > > weights only 48 lbs she can not walk ,talk or dress herself > she > > > > totally relient on me for all her need twenty four seven and > she > > > does > > > > not talorate surgery to well. > > > > > > > > I found this site the sametime I found another group of HPE > and > > was > > > > looking for advice and info. > > > > Sincerly (mother of j.d) > > > > > > > > > >

Guest guest
I was 16 for about 10 years but I think I've gotten a bit older lately. Its been a few years since I could pass for 16. I'm really feeling my age now. When I was pregnant with my twins people used to look at me disapprovingly thinking I was some teenager who got knocked up. Its actually a bit funny. Of course they are 6 now and somewhere between then and now I gained 14 years or more lol... I don't mind though 16 was a horrible age to be trapped in. lol And I'm lucky to have a wonderful family a lovely home and the experience to appreciate a life that doesn't resemble a soap opera. I'd hate to go back to soap opera life and dating and working 16 hours a day for a measly paycheck. Of course now I work 16 hours days for hugs and kisses but they are worth it. Really you're only as old as you feel ..so I guess I must be 40ish today lol (I'm really 30ish, but its been a long day and I've been bad about my caffeine intake and am really addicted to the stuff again and have been so fuzzy brained without it today. I even spilled hot water all over me when I was cooking dinner. Caffeine is a hard habit to break especially since its a legal drug and it can make you feel so good...) I wonder if the dating years resemble a soap opera (well mine did at least) what the family years represent? Sometimes I think mine is one of those drama/tragedies because bad things keep happening, but on the other hand maybe its supposed to be one of those family movies where the family strives together and everything turns out well in the end. Maybe life doesn't fit into a movie catagory anymore once you've hit the no longer single stage. lol My 25th birthday (I turned 25 on the 25th day of the 1st month of the year 2000, I always thought that was funny, not sure why now, but it was back then) occured a few months after I had my twins and I was breastfeeding them all day long it seemed. It was a wonderful time in my life - its amazing to watch them grow and its sad that they grow up too fast. It seems like only yesterday I was fat as a whale and ready to give birth and here they are already 6! I refused to have couches in the house back then because I enjoy sitting on the floor - the house was so wonderful then - we had little mats the kids would crawl on and we sat on pillows and ate on a low table. Now the house is crammed with furniture and I can barely walk in the kitchen because we have a grown up table in there. And instead of breastfeeding they are insisting that they can't possibly have what I made for dinner but need a sandwich instead lol... 30's been a rough year , not because I turned 30 though. kris alcs wrote: > > why? 25 isn't all that great! actually i'm about to > turn 25 in two months and i'm having a serious quarter > life crisis. > Oh god..where's my brown paper bag > *hyperventillating* > >
