Guest guest
Over a year ago my daughter had her HM done and a few months ago she started having off and on chest pain. Doctor requested another Barium Swallow and the result came out really really good. GI could not explain why she has spasm. He said that with this disease it is hard to tell and he suggested either to take anti-depressant or use nitroglycerin. Or learn to cope with the disease and see what will work for her. See if breathing exercises will help, cold or hot drinks. Pray and hope for a cure..
Guest guest
Our bodies seem to be put together in odd ways, to say the least. I had DES for thirty years before the Achalasia presented. And then as the Achalasia got *worse*, the spasms got better. I had Graves Disease (have) 25 years ago, which has a whole constellation of associated side effects. Not all of which are present for everyone. And some get the side effects, or some of them (Eye bulging, white hair, hair falling out, etc.), without ever actually getting full flown Graves. Now, often when I have some new little problem, and I read up on it, it turns out that peeps with Graves have this or that at some hugely higher percent than the general population. So, yep: try a whole lot of things, and be patient. Never know which will be the magic bullet for any one patient. Good luck! > > Over a year ago my daughter had her HM done and a few months ago she started having off and on chest pain.
