Mine have been done by a gastroenterologist.

Cardiac catheterization (angioplasty) is done under fluoroscopy, but you can bet

your behind I wouldn't want a radiologist doing mine -- that's a cardio guy's

domain!

Prolly just *me* but my experience with the barium swallow and the radiologist

over and against my experience with the GIs -- I'd go with the radiologist, if

he'd done a few. In fact, my GIs don't do dilations -- they send it on down the

road. . . .

But I had my surgery done at UVA, too. And I couldn't even get the GIs there to

even make an appointment in *three weeks*. . . . so if I were having a

dilation, I likely wouldn't have been unhappy with the radiologist, lol!
