Guest guest Posted April 18, 2012 Report Share Posted April 18, 2012 Had my Heller Myotomy surgery in 2001. How it came out,the first couple of day were very good. Second and 3rd day problems started ,very bad stomach pain with dificuld breathing which got very bad in the early 5 th day ,rushed to the ER,then to Maine Medical Hospital,where I went in to emergency surgery. They found that my esophagus had ruptured and I was sebsis another day and I would have died. It was repaired after a 9 hour surgery. This is not to discourage anyone from the surgery. Now I can eat anything I want without even drinking and water to get it down. So a bad beginning turned into a good ending.It did take 4 days In the ICU and 14 days in the hopital with a morphine drip. But after all these years I can say it was worth it..
