Guest guest
When I woke up this morning I knew I was stuck and my A was backed up. My usual methods to handle this situation is to drink a large glass of cold water and take the dogs for a walk. I take a path through the arroyos where there is lots of privacy to spit up. First comes the white froth and after that the spitum becomes more productive. Well, this morning I wasn't getting much up and by the time I was back from the 45 minute hike, my E continued to feel stuck. More water, more froth, but nothing substantive to unblock LES. I start to panic. My swallowing has been definitely off lately. I call my GI's office and get an appointment thats in 2 weeks for an endoscopy, but thinking, I would like to do it today. I know I could go to the ER and get a dilation, if I needed to. Actually, that is what happend 2 years ago right after a trip to Guatamala and I came home dehydrated. Interesting, that this is my 3rd day back from a trip visiting relatives in Israel. Speculating on the cause of a back-up drives me nuts, because its all speculation. I wish I had a window to see what is going on in there and have some way to actually witness the problem. Instead, my focus is more on getting unstuck. My weapon of last resort, is to throw up. It worked, and I feel so much relief. My protein drink tastes so sweet. Santa Fe

Guest guest
Let me try this again (newby to & this forum). Your post is so odd to me - in a very good way. I've lived with this for at least 40 years and never knew anyone who went through this too until I came here. > > DITTO! > > > > Re: Achalasia blues > > > > > When I woke up this morning I knew I was stuck and my A was backed up.
