Guest guest
Hi Laa, Pretty name, and more unusual than my own :-) I understood what you had gone through, not knowing of your parental rights and all, I've gone through that myself, just recently here. I especially liked what I read when you wrote " Lurk and Learn " , I thought, yeah, that's me pretty much! My kids are pretty grown, 26, 23 and 15. I lived in Germany for about 28 yrs, and they were pretty cool about most of the vaccinations given to children. If you knew what your rights were, and contested against them, they eventually would accept it, for most vaccines. Some are mandatory, and >I don't think you really have much of a choice, like the polio vaccine and having to take a TB test. Most of the others are optional. Now I've been confronted by the high school where I've registered my 15 yr. old, to have the chicken pox vaccine, which I am totally against. He did receive the Hep B last yr., when we traveled to Mexico, but that was OUR choice, and I thought, for our safety, as we would visit the country and not the resorts. It has been very interesting on this list so far, and I'm so happy two people from another list I am on, suggested I join here. I have also been using homeopathic medicines since 1983 and swear on it that that is the way to go. The Bach Flower Remedies have also been in our medicine cabinet since over 16 yrs now, which has also proved to be very useful and healing. Thank you, Sheri, for having us here. It's becoming a staple for me :-) Happy Healing! Aldona Guenter Hello My name is Laa. I am the mother of 2 year old Lillian and 7 month old Lucas. I did not know about any of my rights as a parent when Lillian was born. She was 4 lbs. 8 oz. and 18.5 inches long. She was the skinniest thing I'd ever seen but she was fierce and I thought, 'uh oh! She's a powerful person. We're in for a ride. ' Immediately they gave her a few shots. Then, they told me what they'd done. They didn't ask first. I looked at my tiny baby and FREAKED OUT inside. I didin't say anything to anyone becuase I didn't know I could. When I got home, I began to read. When I found out that I could split the vaccinations up and give them to her one at a time I did that, but still didn't get any relief inside. I did not feel any relief until I decided not to vaccinate her at all anymore. Lucas has never been vaccinated. I now wonder if I am making the correct decision. Were my fears just because Lillian was so tiny and looked so fragile to me? I will never know. She's perfectly healthy now and there was no damage from the vaccinations that she did have. I am here mostly to lurk and learn. I will comment here and there but I do not anticipate actively posting a lot. I will read 99% of what comes through. I look forward to meeting some new friends here. Laa
Guest guest
That little doubt or nagging voice that " something is not right about vaxing " ,is your mother's instinct telling you something. Listen to it....I had my first daughter when I was 18. I didn't know any better and did'nt know how to access the information,Now she is so messed up...she has " hyper issuses " ,can't really focus on something for a long period of time and she could'nt get through high school because of all her health problems of having some sort of medical problem every week, either she's got a cold, the flu,or some stomach bug,and she gets very sore and aches a lot when the weather gets cold..says she feels like she's 40 yrs old and she's only 17. Some of her issues stem from her not listening to me about eating to much fast food with her friends and smoking and stuff, but I believe most of her issues are related to being vaxed. I had a 15 yr old daughter...she was brillant...made straight a's since kindergarten, honor roll all the time, never gave me many problems, did'nt talk back...the kind of child most parents wish they had...she got cancer when she was 12,was treated, and went into remission...in June of 05 she started having problems again, and she passed away in November of 05,and we believe the cancer was caused by her polio vaccines. After doing research, we discovered that the polio vaccines were containimated with the SV40 virus...it was discovered years ago,and it was supposed to be removed off the market and these vaccines were not supposed to be used again but it was discovered that some companies were lying about getting rid of contanimated vaccines, and after doing research,I found out that the SV40 virus was found in many children when they passed away from the brain tumors if the parents wanted autopsies done after death. So listen to that doubt you have...I had that " nagging feeling " everytime they got a shot and I just thought I felt funny about it because it hurt them to be poked with a needle, years later I have learned to trust my instincts and what they tell me,but I will never have the opportunity to turn back time and change the outcome of things but I have learned a lot and my smaller kids will not be vaxed ever... Guest guest
I'm shocked that so many of you are being asked to sign these forms. My oldest is 13 and I've never signed one that I know of. I think the Gardasil shot is the biggest marketing scam since sliced bread. Others may have actual info -- but you also might check in the archives. Hello Hi, My name is and I am a SAHM of 4 beautiful children, ages 14,11,4,2. My older two children have had all of the " required " shots that the pediatricians emphasize are so necessary. I stopped vaccinating when my two year old was 6 mos old, that is when I became wise in my older age and realized that this was not a required thing nor a good decision for my children. Since then I have had a lot of strange looks, but after lengthy conversations with my pediatrician and hours of internet research I simply cringe at the thought of vaccinations and have recently signed the " refusal to vaccinate " that is required here in the State of Louisiana. I joined this board to gain more knowledge about why NOT to vaccinate and to be able to go somewhere for support and answers to any obstacles or questions that I may have, and hopefully educate my friends and family who are unaware of the dangers. I also have a cousin that has a daughter who is 14 and autistic and I believe that it is from her being vaccinated, although her parents disagree. When I last visited my pediatrician she handed me the sheet on the Guardasil shot for young girls to prevent cervical cancer, of course I am not going to allow my daughter to have this shot but I was wondering if any of you have any information on it? Guest guest
Thanks for clearing that up for me, actually I've read very few articles regarding HPV so I don't know very much about it. I do know that ultimately most cancers are caused by free radicals and lack of antioxidants, but I do get confused when it comes to HPV. The few types of HPV supposedly guarded against by Gardasil, are they sexually transmitted only or can those also be aquired in other ways? -- In Vaccinations , Clemons <clemonsmary@...> wrote: > > Not fully true Vida, as HPV has other means of getting acquired. Guest guest
To my understanding they are both sexually transmitted and can be gotten other ways. That's one reason thsi vaccine is such a joke. There are more than 100 different strains that fall under the term HPV. The vaccines supposedly is able to block TWO strains, and can help (again, supposedly) the TWO other strains that cause herpes (something to that effect, it's in the op-ed). The whole thing is about money. They figured out a way to show something with HPV and they know that Americans love their sex, so they're targeting AIDS people and young women. FEAR< FEAR< FEAR. More women die of breast cancer every year than HPV. What I have never understood is why everyone is willing to " search for a cure " instead of searching to prevent! Guest guest
I never understood that either...so much many is being spent to find a cure for diseases, which, even if some kind of medicine is made, usually only cures symptoms rather than the diseases anyways. Researchers and doctors don't seem to be interested at all in prevention, especaially natural ones. Don't they wonder why so many people live with so many different kinds of diseases? I think maybe they have accepted the idea that it is normal and natural for humans to have many things wrong with them, but I don't think that it is. - In Vaccinations , Clemons <clemonsmary@...> wrote: > > To my understanding they are both sexually transmitted and can be gotten other ways. Guest guest
Hi . I'm curious to know " who " told you, you had to sign a refusal to vaccinate form? Also - I'm curious to know what that form stated.... I checked LA laws wrt vaccination and I don't see where such a thing is required. One needs to be careful signing these forms as it may implicate the parent of neglect should the child suffer either significant injury or death following a disease for which there is a vaccine for. Go here to read LA's law on vaccines: http://nvic.org/state-site/Louisiana%20.htm I have an 18 month and 6 month old. Both children had their first Hep B shot. They've had no vaccines since. I take them both to a holistic doctor and he's wonderful - I wouldn't take them mainstream unless it was absolutely necessary. (ie., the ER). Regarding HPV - here's a link with a lot of information:http://nvic.org/Diseases/HPV/HPVHOME.htm Dr. Tenpenny has also covered a lot of ground on this:http://www.nmaseminars.com/vaccine-articles.html Randi

Guest guest
It is good to hear stories to get to know what others have gone through. I do though have an interesting question. How many of you are concerned about if you don't vaccinate your kids getting the disease and if so what to do if they do?Do any of you know what to do in event and if so please share I just had a baby and I'm really thinking of not vaccinating all around. Why is a long story. I stopped having my other two not get vaccinated anymore either after they having some seizures and other things happen. My daughter two weeks after the vaccination had this seizure. whether it is the fault of this vaccine I don't know, but I don't like that it was such coincidence and to close to that time. mensrea320@... wrote:won In a message dated 9/20/2007 10:58:06 PM Eastern Daylight Time, frogfoot1969@... writes: Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Guest guest
*hug* Welcome! What an amazing story you have told...you will find lots of great info here! Lori Hello Hello, I am new to the group. My story is quite complicated and very long. I need help overcoming this huge weight on my heart feeling as if I am responsible for my son's disabilities because I let them inject him with poison. I am 38 I have two boys 13 & 3. The eldest has all his immunizations and appears healthy. I received the Hep B vaccine while I was pregnant with him because I had been exposed to the virus and was assured it was safe. While getting the first child vaccinated they recommend that I get a booster of measles vaccine. I can't remember how long after I became extremely ill and had to crawl to the phone to call for help. I recovered after a two weeks of dilerium. I had had several unexpained seizures as a child about seven years apart, I also had other unexplained ailments. At 26 I was diagnosed with Mutiple Sclerosis. I have had several MS episodes but for the most part I am doing rather well. I worked as a dental assistant for 10 years, working with amalgam filling materials. My three year old was born premature at 33.4 weeks, 4lbs. 14oz. He appeared healthy and so strong we went home from hospital in 48hrs. At his six week check up the pediatrician recommended starting his vaccines. My husband and I both questioned the dr. about our concerns because he was so tiny and didn't have any fat on his little legs. I also expressed my concerns of getting Autism. He assured us it was safe, it wasn't a live virus and the complications if any were mild and that it was safer than not getting vaccines. We reluctantly agreed. They didn't even give us a pamphlet about the risks and side effects. About 45 minutes after the vaccine our son started screaming a shrill unconsolable cry, a cry I will never forget, he turned extremely pale and became listless. I immediately phoned the doctor who assured me he was fine and it was a mild reaction. He slept and when he woke seem ok. I never put two and two together until recently. All the to do you hear about autism is surrounding the MMR you don't really hear about any others. The vaccines my son received that day were the IPV and hib, his actual age was six weeks and adjusted age was ZERO. The CDC recommends that you wait until the child is two months old which means my son should have been four months old before starting vaccinating, so my boy was even more vulnerable to the adverse effects. Because he was so young we didn't notice any regression. I think I was brainwashed into thinking these were safe, my doctor says they are safe, the CDC says they are safe, our goverment recommends them and our school pressure you to have them. I thought I was unharmed by them and my eldest son seems unaffected by them so I let them, I let them do it to my tiny baby and continued to let them do it. Because he was premature he also received alot of RSV injections to keep from from getting the Deadly RSV infection. My ds has been diagnosed with 1. Global developmental delay 2. Macrocephaly 3. External Hydrocephalus, arrested 7/07 4. Cerebral demyelination of uncertain origin (it is not uncertain to me) 5. I am also furious that the VICP has a three year limitation on filing claims when most of the time you usually can't even get a child diagnosed by the age of three. Thank you for taking the time to read my story. It helps to get it out. I feel really alone, I am very angry at myself for letting this happen, and deeply disturbed by this. Guest guest
Sonya my heart breaks for you. You can get a medical exemption, but until your son starts school, you don't need to do anything other than say NO. I have heard that chelation (depending on age) can help a lot. My own daughter got JRA (arthritis) and she is now in remission, she also had the sensory integration disorder, she has out grown it. There is still some hope. Good food, breastfeeding, sunshine, healthy exercise and love love love, and you will have to find some peace within yourself. You cannot change it. I'm so sorry -- your story is heartbreaking. I hate vaccines. Hello Hello, I am new to the group. Moderate Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy (I was given this diagnosis because they had no other explaination, he does not fit the criteria for CP 6. Dysarthria 7. Sensory Integration Disorder 8. Guest guest
Thank you for your kind words. He started Pre-school with the public school system when he turned three so that he would continue receiving the therapy he so desparately needs. I thought I had read you could get the medical exemption for a brain injured child and I am not sure when he is due for more vaccinations I think Kindergarden. I am scared of Chelation, I investigated it for myself when I was diagnosed with MS but I will investigate it further. My ds has been thru so much I hate to put him thru anything else. We already do all the other things you mentioned and he is doing rather well Considering, it could be alot worse. I know I was ill informed or brainwashed, I know I can't change it , but it doesn't make it any easier to accept the fact that I let this happen. I don't think I will ever make peace with myself " I am his mother I am suppose to protect him " ignorance is no excuse. I believe vaccination are a double edged sword because I am sure a mother whos child is disabled or dies from a disease they are told could have been prevented with a vaccine has similar feelings. Guest guest
Take Sheri's class. :-) I used to be afraid of the diseases but was more afraid of the possible side effects from a vaccine that wasn't proven to be 100% effective even. I figured if it got life-threatening, I would seek medical help. My children have all been pretty healthy and we keep their immune system " on line " with regular chiropractic visits. I really wasn't afraid of the disease but the possible death from the disease. I am no more afraid as I have accepted my decision. Vaxxes aren't 100% guaranteed to prevent any of the diseases and many children acquire the disease even after they were fully vaxxed with their symptoms not being any less. I just try to make sure we eat healthy and supplement (that's hit and miss usually). I don't relish the thot of my child going thru pain and discomfort if they acquire a disease and if syptoms seem unusual, I will seek a homeopath. I just quit second-guessing myself and the more I read gut-wrenching, heart-breaking stories like Sonya's, the more I am confident I made the right choice. It is hard not being mainstream and I have paid the price but my children have not. I personally do not know any children who seem to have been affected by vaccines but sometimes I wonder if some of their personality could be vaccine-caused. My sister's daughter went stiff in a shopping cart a few years back and she was sure it was due to the vax. Scared her and so now she doesn't anymore and her youngest is vax free. I'm concerned about my child getting any disease b/c I'm a parent. I do know that most of the diseases are not going to cause her any real problems b/c she is healthy to start with. I also won't be treating it allopathically so I know that will help. " They " try to scare us into thinking every time someone gets one of these diseases it will result in death. That is not true. Guest guest
I agree, they are a double edged sword. I feel for the mothers who think a vaccine may have saved their child. I think a child that does die of a natural disease, may have also been a vaccine injured child if they had gotten the vaccine. But you're right, it's hard to be the momma! Guest guest
Hi Sonya, Welcome to the club! Many of us have injured ourselves or our children with vaccines and want to make sure the same thing doesn't happen to others. My friend had the same experience with Hep B and MS. It was mandatory for her work. There are a lot of things you can do to reverse the damage or at least a portion of it. Email me your mailing address and I will send you some info regarding chelation therapy and exactly what happens on a cellular level as well as some other options. You NEED to do something to get the mercury out of your body, especially having worked in a dental office. MS and mercury poisoning symptoms are almost identical. You have to be very careful to not redistribute the mercury which is what many chelators do. Some can make the whole matter worse. I was so poisoned I couldn't do chelation and the doctor said it would damage my organs (kidneys and liver). My daughter was the same. Kidney problems, chronic meningitis due to mercury (from vaccines and from me passing them on through pregnancy). The body is wonderful and capable of self-healing once we know what to do to get rid of the poisons safely, give it the right nutrients it needs to thrive and heal itself and have a healthy mental attitude. Guest guest
Hi Cecilia -- I've shared in the past that my kids are partially vaxed and that they've both had chicken pox (DD had CP twice) and my DS had whooping cough. Thankfully my kids have very strong immune systems and DS managed to practice and play JV lacrosse despite the cough - in fact I didn't realize he had whooping cough till he was coughing for quite a while and I figured I should get it checked out since it wasn't going away. Plus bear in mind that many of us over a certain age have had chicken pox, measles, German measles, mumps and probably a few others. We all survived. I know some children may be injured by having the actual disease, but I don't know anyone personally who was. Guest guest
Hi , I am just like you. Worried if my kids got vaccinated, worried if they didn't. I probably can't relate to you about living overseas and not being immunized. Although it's quite funny because my family has lived on a military base in Japan when I was just a baby. Does that make you feel better? hehe =)~ I have a 4 1/2 month old that is breastfed as well. Out of curiousity, what kind of supplements are you giving your little one to boost the immune system? Thanks I hope you enjoy being here! I have learned so much from the group already and have only been here for a short amount of time. -Cat In a message dated 1/16/2008 7:36:08 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, meandlb@... writes: Hi, My name is and I just joined this group yesterday. I live on a military base in Japan with my husband and my lovely 5 1/2 month old son. I joined this group because I have been so conflicted about giving vaccines to my son. I am probably like some of you who feel worried if you give it to your children and worried if you don't. I am a breastfeeding mom and have been also giving supplements to my son to boost his immune system. However, there is still a nagging feeling in the back of my mind of " what if something happens if I don' t vaccinate him " . I don't think I would feel this concerned if I lived in the US. However, living overseas, especially in Japan, it is difficult for me to find a homeopathic doctor or even easy access to supplements. I would definitely like to know if there is anyone out there in the same situation as I am - specifically, living on a military base overseas (like Japan). I am looking forward to sharing and learning with all of you. **************Start the year off right.
