Guest guest
Hi Carol, Thanks. That is what I told her. But she wants to help me find it. So what can she get or me from brazil? Angi
Guest guest
Andrine, Do you think that she can get everclear in duty free at the airport in brazil? Angi
Guest guest
Angi I'm not sure what you are looking for. I know you usually can't bring plant material either. Maybe someone else here knows better than I what can be brought into the US from outside the country. In my travels I have been very limited when it came to agriculture , you could bring in liqueur but nothing like everclear. Carol

Everclear is not exotic, it might not be sold outside of the USA. Just tell her it has to be at least 190 proof and as scentless as possible. -- Anya http://AnyasGarden.com http://NaturalPerfumers.com http://twitter.com/anyasgarden
Guest guest
I don't think it is about finding it but coming across the line into the US. Some states here sell Everclear but you are not allowed to bring across state lines to others that don't sell it. Also because 190 proof is so flammable it might not be allowed on planes, but check into it. I would think you need to know if your state allows the sale of Everclear first then find out if it can be brought onto a plane.I would not want to be stopped at customs with some item that was outlawed in my state. That could start trouble that you would not want to get involved in over something innocent. Regards Carol
Guest guest
Hi everyone, Thanks for all your opinion. I will tell her to check. But, I also think she wont be permited to bring in to portugal. It is so unfair we dont have any everclear here (((((( Angi
Guest guest
Angi You are in Portugal? My husband is from Algarve, Portugal! They must have something like Everclear their. It is just 190 proof vodka. My brother in law gets a pure alcohol from a distiller somewhere a few hours from Algarve. I would ask around for 190 proof vodka I bet you can find some. Guest guest
Angi... I'm not sure where your at....but if you're in the US..... It would be easier getting 190 Everclear from one of the States that allows it's sale....? Here in WI, it's about $18 per liter..... I used to have to get it from out of State...but apparently they changed the rules....I get it at a local grocery store, now... It is made in America, so it would be an import to Brazil...Unless someone there is making it under license.... -- W. Bourbonais L'Hermite Aromatique A.J.P. Guest guest
Is Everclear 190 proof? I'm not remembering well now if that was correct. Anyway in Portugal they have a " rough " type called Medronho . I had to ask my husband to get the name right. It is something like what used to be called " white lighting " here in the back woods. =) Carol
Guest guest
Hi Carol and Yes, I am also trying to get 190 proof vodka here. Until now I only get the 40%! So I just used jojoba oil and sweet almond oil for tinctures. I will not give up searching for 190 proof alcohol (waiting for newdirections here to find me some) Thanks Angi
Guest guest
Hi Carol, Do you know if he is getting the 190 proof alcohol? I know Medronho. They make aguardente from medronho. But I am not sure if it is 190 proof. Aguardente is like fire water...around 40% and strong smell! They drink after coffee for digestion! Where are you carol? Vodka is typically filtered as compared to Everclear, so it's not as " rough " ..... The important thing is to get the high proof, 190 proof, vodka..... 190 proof is equivalent to 95%, in which most EOs, absolutes, etc., dissolve nicely.... Good for making tinctures, also.... -- W. Guest guest
Angi I live in S Florida but my husband has family in Loule, & Paderne. I am sure that aguardente is much stronger than 40%. Who told you it was only 40% alcohol? Carol
Guest guest
I am sure that aguardente is much stronger than 40%. Who told you it was only 40% alcohol? Hi Carol Sorry to reply so late, I just wanted to get some information concerning aguardente for you. (if you are interested). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aguardiente/Aguardente A friend of mine gave me a few bottles of aguardente from Douro, the smell was too strong. I am still searching for pure alcohol. With so much wine here, there is no way they dont have it right. The only thing is they dont sell it to anyone but for business only. Guest guest
If the parents are overwhelmed by behaviors, it sounds like a good idea to me. I've had no personal experience, however. granny On Fri, Aug 14, 2009 at 12:27 PM, Heidi <hjjjjhenderson@...>wrote: > > > I was just wondering what you guys all thought of Theraputic care > and > if any of you have had to do it and your experience with it. > Thank you > Heidi mom to ph > >
Guest guest
Hi, I had my consultation at Mayo (MN) today. I have a barium swallow Friday and the rest Of the stuff in 2 weeks. Mayo is like an assembly line. The GI docI saw was dr Jeffry . Has anyone heard of him. The surgeon may be M.S. Allan. Ever hear of him. I became highly anxious when he talked about the prospect of loosing my esophagus. Anyone help me understand what it all means. What is the mortality rate. I'm a bit anxious. Thanks Faith Sent from my iPod On May 7, 2012, at 8:15, " amandatroff " <amandatroff@...> wrote: > Good Morning everyone. When I was 25 my lungs were 3/4 full of food and finally a Dr. figured out I was throwing up and it was going into my lungs. I went to Mayo in Rochester where I had a few different surgeries, I think that HM you all talk about and they cut the muscle into my stomach, made me a new flapper to keep stomach acids down etc. > > Now 6 years later I started having food stick so I went back for testing (barium, EDG etc.) and they found that my esophogus is so stretched and worn out it is now deforming and looks like a sink drain. So it goes down then makes a sharp 90 degree corner then has another length to go before emptying into my stomach. I might agree to such a major body transformation at 80 but I am only 32 and scared. Looking for advice. > >
