Guest guest
Rich, >3. Lyme disease--Quite a few people diagnosed with CFS are testing >positively for Lyme. I suspect that the Lyme was the primary problem >in many of them. Lyme testing has its reliability problems, but >particularly for PWCs who have joint pain or certain kinds of rashes >as symptoms, I think it might be worthwhile to get tested for Lyme. >Antibiotics are used to treat Lyme. Please forgive me for never having completed your questionaire (well in fact I did but then I left it on another computer that I don't have access to for the moment and I don't have enough time and energy to do it all over again!). But you can count me in for a Lyme/Rickettsia-like aetiology in spite of neg serologies, on the basis of history (ticks), sx (small EM rash early on, that I had totally forgotten until I started reading up on Lyme and seeing photos of EM rashes), and response to abx. I'm thin and also had lots of GI pbs at onset of illness. No joint pains, and BTW, many Lymies especially infected with European strains like Borrelia Garinii have sx that are mainly neurological and cardiac in nature. Thanks for what you are doing Nelly
Guest guest
FYI for non-english speakers... Lymies with Lyme means " Inhibitants of Australia / New Zealand " with Lyme disease... -- sounds like fun name for a support group in Australia! M Lassesen, M.S. FYI: Dr.Gui (MSDN) means part of the " Dr.Gui " team that wrote for Microsoft's Developer's Network - most programmers know the character well... Dr.VB mean Dr. Visual Basic -- a nickname I acquired at Microsoft because of my ability to do almost anything with this programming language ----- Original Message ----- From: Jacques & Nelly BTW, many Lymies especially infected with European strains like Borrelia Garinii have sx that are mainly neurological and cardiac in nature.
