Guest guest
My 65 yr. old husband is also a PWC. Per Cheney literature he has been taking Klonopin and Doxepin for several years. Currently he's takiing 2 of the generic Klonopin for a total of .10mg and 2 Doxepin for a total of 20 mg. He also takes 6 mg of melatonin nightly. And he's been taking VesPro for about 5 weeks (in the am as it seemed to worsen the sleep problem). His sleep continues to worsen even with this combo. Two questions: 1. Is is Klonopin that Cheney says puts you to sleep and Doxepin keeps you there or is it the reverse? 2. Are there any other sleep meds the group really recommends? (He would try Soma or Ambien but would have to pay for it out of pocket. Restoril doesn't work. Any other suggestions for promoting better sleep? (note--herbs won't work at this stage of the game; one possibility is upping the melatonin to 9 mg) Thanks, Hope __________________________________________________
