Guest guest
Hi, << . Does anyone know of a web site that tells what hundreds of years of actual experience (research) have shown about what the expression of the extra chromasome will do to a seemingly normal baby?? >> My computer is down now or I could give a specific answer. But I would suggest drkoop.com as a good starting place. >Isn't trisomy 21, which means three copies instead of the usual two, of >chromosome 21, responsible for Down's Syndrome? Down's is trisomy 23. Trisomy 21, if it is a complete extra chromosome 21, is usually more serious than severe Down's syndrome. But partial trisomies also happen; how severe they are depends on how much of the chromosome is present and what particular piece of the chromosome it is. I used to have some reference material on this myself - i'll see if I can turn anything up.
