Inositol - the eyes have it!

Just wanted to say a big THANKS to the person who posted about inositol

helping their vision. I have been plagued lately by blurry vision (even

when my eyeglasses are clean ;@), and the eye doctor says my rx is fine

and my eyes are fine. I had resigned myself to leaning over and

squinting at the screen.

Yesterday at the health food store, I got a 4 oz bottle of pure inositol

powder, no filler (house brand). Took 1/4 tsp in half a glass of water,

and within minutes, less than half an hour, my eyesight was clear!

After doing email and so forth on the computer for a couple of hours,

the blurring came back; I took another 1/4 tsp of inositol and they

cleared right back up!

A word of warning: after taking 4 doses the first day, I was a wee bit

gassy and loose in the bowels. Not as bad as eating a bunch of candy

containing sorbitol, maltilol, etc., but similar. Someone mentioned

that inositol is a small sugar; this reaction makes me think it might be

closer to a polypol (sugar alcohol). Many people won't get this

reaction, I'm sure, and I probably won't with fewer doses per day.

But it's great finding something that actually works, even if it's only

for one irritating symptom! Thanks again.
