Guest guest
I once used OLE and had quite the same reaction...I got very flu-like, sick and sleepy so much so that I decided to stop using it. Was it working? I think probably. With all antivirals, there is a die-off period which is quite uncomfortable and horrendous...it seems to be the process. My guess is that it was working for you but of course this is only a guess..Barbara
Guest guest
Andy, If your allergic to milk products then I can understand your difficulty with the whey protein products as their all made from dairy sources. I thought I was allergic to milk products for many years. However, after taking artemesia (in tincture bottle sold at some health food stores) for a few weeks my allergy dissapeared. It seems, according to Teitelbaum's book, I had a parasitic infection that was killed off or greatly reduced by taking the artemesia. There is also a prescription med that is used to kill off the parasitic infection but according to Teitelbaum, artemesia works just as well. Could it be possible that a parasitic infection is the cause of your milk product allergy? If so, you may be able to eliminate it and begin taking one of the whey protein products again. Guest guest
Hi Andy, OLE makes me feel very tired and somewhat nauseous. For myself, I interpret this as herxing. I started with a low dose, and herxed, then gradually ramped up the dose pretty high to get the same effect, so that also makes me think it's herxing. I know it's pricey, and we have been fortunate with that end of it, but I have also been using it to keep the Candida under control. Candida has been problematic for me since starting abx, and when I went off OLE for about a week, I had a whopper of a Candida overgrowth, so the appears to be important to me in that regard as well. I take my OLE at night, so it helps with my insomnia while I sleep it off. I tend to wake up feeling a little icky, but it passes fairly quickly after I've been walking around a bit. But for me the OLE is coupled with abx for mycoplasma fighting, so once a day works. Also, what you describe is pretty close to what I felt at first on doxycycline. I was very tired and slept 12 hours a day, and was in bed for roughly 14-16 hours a day. Doxycycline doesn't appear to do anything anymore for me, after about 5 months of it. Laurie L.
