Message from Sri.J.V.R. Prasada Rao, Secretary Department of Health, Government of India

Dear All,

I informed you exactly an year ago, of my movement to Department of Family

Welfare, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, as Secretary. It is my pleasure

now to inform you that Government has now posted me as Secretary, Department of

Health, in this Ministry. I took charge of my new responsibility on 16th June,

2003.

I am personally very happy to be back among the circle of my old friends and

well-wishers. Of course, I have not lost contact with many of them in the

intermediate period but in my present job I will be much more closely associated

with all health-related programmes like disease control, anti-tobacco measures,

food and drugs administration, disease surveillance and also the health care

institutions in the tertiary sector under the Government of India.

I am also very happy that I will be once again associated with the National AIDS

Control Organization (NACO) as Chairman of its Management Board. I look forward

to an exciting partnership with all of you in my new job. My new e-mail ID in
