Guest guest
Thanks for this helpful info Carol! My pH levels were normal so I think I'll refrain from the Sacc. Boulardii for now. The test showed various antibiotics that would treat the bad bacteria, but I have not taken any yet because I am fearful of having a bad reaction (I do not tolerate meds well at all, and don't recover from my reactions to them). I will probably eventually give it a try though. Thanks again, Laurel << Message: 7 Date: Mon, 13 Nov 2000 00:39:13 -0600 From: " Sieverling " <lsieverl@...> Subject: Re: Cheney's use of Beta Glucan & Sacc. Boulardii Based on what I know, the S. Boulardii is a helpful yeast, not a harmful one. But I think Cheney only recommends the S. Boulardii if your good bacteria are being wiped out by a high pH, which is also listed on your CDSA test. If your stool pH is normal or low, I don't think it would be a good idea. The purpose of the S. Boulardii is to lower the pH into the normal range, which allows the good flora to establish and grow. The CDSA test should have listed prescription and natural remedies for each of your non-friendly bacteria. Their recommendations have worked for me in the past. Take care.
