Guest guest
According to this site sex once or twice a week is good for the immune system. <http://www.cfs.inform.dk/Sex/eng.sex.html> Also, I don't know if you saw this revent post from Hud: " Why would the brain want to upregulate the NMDA receptors? I vaguely remember Goldstein discussing in his _Betrayal By The Brain_ that CFIDS is partly a disorder of *insufficient* glutamate secretion. Apparently, such important functions as concentration, forming new memories, and even orgasm (!) require the presence of adequate glutamate. And Goldstein mentions how activities like intense concentration and sex/orgasm can bring on a period of relapse. And our common difficulties with memory, and concentration might reflect inadequate glutamate binding at the NMDA receptor. " Sorry, I have no idea what Cheney has to say on the subject. > OK, many have been to Cheney but no one is talking about his > take on sexual activity. > > Does our immune system take a dive?, Does it go up? Guest guest
Since you've broached the sex topic, I must say that after many years I am finally getting interested in sex again (after 4 months on heparin.) Since a lot of sexual response is based on blood flow, I guess this is not surprised. But a nice side effect. Cindi benitez_ricardo@... 11/23/00 09:29 PM Please respond to egroups cc: Subject: Cheney on SEX? OK, many have been to Cheney but no one is talking about his take on sexual activity. Does our immune system take a dive?, Does it go up? Does he recommend less? More? Why some CFIDS patients relapse with it. Others do not notice a difference. Different for males? Yes, I know personal information could be disclosed. But if you have brought up the issue with Cheney and he has given pointers on it please post them. Can do it anonymously if you wish.
