Guest guest
Carol, Doxepin is an antidepressant, so I'm assuming that Cheney does not feel that this particular antidepressant is one of the ones that will " fry your brain " as mentioned in that book? Also, I asked my doctor for a prescription for Doxepin and he gave me 25mg in capsule form. Your email says 10mg/ml. Is 25mg too much? And is the capsule form not something Cheney would recommend? Thank you! Laurel <<What else is neuro protective? At my visit in October, Cheney mentioned magnesium and Doxepin. Cheney really likes magnesium because it protects the brain. It's a very, very important supplement. And Cheney told me early on that Doxepin acts synergistically with Klonopin, enhancing its effect. But, as most know, the Doxepin is often tolerated only in very low doses. Anywhere from 2 drops to 1/2 cc of Doxepin Elixir (10mg/mL). He also said that at these low doses Doxepin is a very powerful anti-histamine. It may be the most powerful anti-histamine there is. It gets into the central nervous system, and Cheney thinks it may adjust the histamine receptors, thereby down regulating the central nervous system. Very beneficial. However, Doxepin can cause morning fog and drowsiness if the dose it too high (usually 5 to 10 mg or higher.) >>
