Guest guest
Stania, Try to get a copy of Molecules of Emotions by Candace Pert, Ph.D. Read page 25 for a very brief explanation. Some day I will finally read it all -- bought it in April -- have skimmed through it occasionally -- so much to do -- not enough hours in the day -- but all the pieces of the puzzleare coming together. Histamine is a small molecule (ligand) and a neurotransmitter for proper brain function. Other molecules and peptides neede by the brain are also components of bee venom. The key is to have a SLOW and STEADY release of histamine. A rush of histamine, endogenous or exogenous, causes the allergic reaction. Bee venom has components that balances this out -- that's why you gradually build up the dose and have benadryl or an epi-pen available at all times when stinging (just in case)! Brain needs amino acids to produce ligands (neurotransmitters, steroids, and peptides). Here's her explanation: If the cell is the engine that drives all life, then the receptors are the buttons on the control panel of that engine, and a specific peptide (or other king of ligand) is the finger that poshes that button to get things started. This is why we need to get our gut fixed first -- need to be able to utilize those building blocks of life! Also the reason I use honey, pollen, royal jelly and propolis (all bee products -- preferrably FRESH) that provide necessary nutrients (among other things). If you're interested, there's a book available online @ http://www.fao.org/docrep/w0076e/w0076e00.htm about bee products that can be downloaded. I skimmed through that one -- packed with lots of info. I found out last week that a member of the Apitherapy L (list I belong to) knows how to make a homemade histamine patch. Will find ask him about it next week. ANYONE KNOW HOW TO DOWNLOAD BOOKS FROM THE INTERNET? TTYL, Bzzz... I remember some article mentioning that PWC are often hypersensitive to histamine - I am - isn't it dangerous for me?
