Betaine HCL: vitamins & whey

There were a couple of inquiries about when to take Betaine HCL in relation to

vitamin supplements and whey.

I'm assuming we're supposed to take the Betaine and the vitamin supplements at

about the same time: at or near the end of a meal. That's when I take mine. I

don't believe the Betaine would interfere at all with the vitamin supplements -

in fact Cheney says that stomach acid (betaine HCL) is needed for proper mineral

absorption.

Following the normal directions that come with the undenatured wheys should

eliminate any problem: take the whey only on a completely empty stomach (so that

there is no digestive action going on and therefore no acid), and wait at least

thirty minutes after taking the whey before eating anything.

I always make sure I haven't eaten for at least three hours before taking

ImuPlus, and then I wait the requisite 30 minutes before a meal, and then I take

all my pills at or near the end of my meal.
