It is very common for the screen to " flicker " if you have it on one

setting for number of colors and size, and then you switch it without

rebooting. Some people are far more sensitive to this than others. If

your screen looks okay and then you go to a chat room or some other

place that has different settings, your screen will appear to flicker.

I don't know if rebooting before going to chat will eliminate this.

BTW, I am also way oversensitive to florescent lights because of the

humming as well as many other things.
