Guest guest
Hi Judith, I do use .02 in lidocaine with the 5 ccs daily of McGuff hydroxy. I recently called to refresh a prescription. The clerk mentioned they now have a hydroxy that is 5xs the strength of the regular B12 I've been using. The benefit is that you only inject 1cc instead of 5 cc reducing the pain and the internal tissue scarring from long term needle use in same approx. sites. Scar tissue apparently interferes with full absorption of the B12. The 5 times stronger hydroxy is between $5-$10 more per bottle, but you get 30 daily doses for the price of one bottle instead of less than two weeks worth. Sorry for not being more specific in detail, but even with my lost math ability, I can see you also save money buying the concentrated form. This is all I know at this point, but wondered if we were discussing two entirely different formulations of Hydroxy B12 by McGuff or your form of B12 in saline can also be purchased in the 5 times concentrated strength hydroxy? I've been out sick, so sorry if this is a redundant post. Thank you. That's all folks, Sheri Fudd > I did call McGuff and am getting their newly formulated hydroxocobalamin > (in saline not distilled water, and also with a ph adusted to be very > close to that of blood). Guest guest
I'm also getting the Mcguffs pharmacy B12 in saline with adjusted PH. Will report on how it does too. I don't see what else it could be. E
Guest guest
Hi, My info is that all their hydroxo, no matter what strength, will be formulated in saline and ph adjusted. I think you're correct that taking less hurts your tissues less. But the issue being dealt with by the new formula apparently has to do not with tissue injury hurt but with the effect that the solution has when " entering " human blood. Apparently when solutions are introduced into human blood the more like blood in salinity and ph the less likely they are to burn or " be noticed " as different. Judith I've always used the l0,000 mcg /ml and give it once per day only, subcu not IM, because I do enuf IM damage with the magnesium, which apparently is useless if given subcu, and I must do the magnesium. Some people do inject the B-l2 iM. Some day I might give it a try to see if it works better, but that's some day. . . .
