Impact of false propaganda

Dear friends,

I was surprised at the revelations of Sri Rajeev Sadanandan about the

sensational news of a woman being stoned to death because she had AIDS. I am

glad and relieved to know that the whole story was a figment of imagination of

an overenthusiastic journalist.

However, the impact this news created in the minds of the public is really

damaging. What I feel is that there has been a significant change in the

attitude of the society towards PLWA over the years. Still there could be

families and neighbours who are critical and unsupportive towards these people.

I am very glad that the enquiries of Rajeev Sadanandan has helped to blast the

unfounded allegations.
