The papers in this volume provide a picture of the history, cultural context and behavior of men with regard to semen loss and the factors triggered by concerns about masturbation and excessive semen loss. The volume explores the cultural link between excessive semen loss and risk behavior. Purnima Mane and have written the foreword to this book. The contributors are all well known academics that are active in the field of HIV/AIDS prevention and include Prof. Pert Pelto, Prof. Schensul, Prof. Aggleton, Prof. Ravi Verma and Dr. Hawkes. The authors in this volume have used qualitative and quantitative formative research methods to build an understanding of sexuality and sexual risk for young and older men. Interventions to reduce the sexual risk arising from cultural notions of excessive semen loss are also described in the volume. The volume is priced at Rs.100/US$ 10.
