Guest guest
Per Goldstein, Risperdal is roughly in the top twenty drugs targeted in his testing protocol. One might call it a 'mild' drug (at CFS doses)compared to most all other medications in terms of their direct intended and side effects. (1) Increases deeper sleep stages - but not a strong sleep inducer like Klonopin, Doxepin, Amitryp. etc. can be. Same ser. receptors acted upon as Serzone. (2) Somewhat anxiolytic In CFS dosing amounts, it doesn't affect dopamine so much. Goldstein attempts to adjust network functions of the brain by affecting neurotransmitters and their receptors in specific areas of the brain amoung other things. Patients who haven't got good results with other medications or got a bad result from an antidepress. might give it a try. It's listed as an anti-psychotic (at higher doses) so you might have to get a reference from Goldstein's last book Betrayel of the Brain. It's comparable to taking a breathmint candy versus a jaw breaker.
