MY response to a posting by another CDN on her experience with

SJW May have missed earlier thread as am behind in my reading.

in ON

If you got an uncontaminated source of SJW in lower than

depressive doses [1/2 or lower] it can help with bad nerves and

breathing - maybe because it is a nervine. It also moderates the

aggression effect of LPhenylalanine.

The main problems with SJW in Canada and the U.S.some of which

are as follows;

1- Are you getting properly extracted product?

2- IS it really even SJW no matter what the label says? Sometimes

it can be anything including valium.

3-Does it contain contaminants? A real problem outside of Europe

[where it is strictly gov't regulated.]

4-Which form of SJW are you taking - olive oil or alcohol based

extract? European -especially German studies have mainly used

the oil based SJW.

5- SJW activates liver enzymes which makes it more efficient at

removing toxins [some medicine is considered a toxin by the

liver] thus this can be a problem for some. Plus it may have

other adverse reactions with some medicines.

6 - ME/CFS patients seem high in seritonin [although SJW has the

unique action of blocking reuptake of 3 neurotransmitters equally

- reason less side effects] and you may have be reacting to too

much seritonin.

7 - A common reaction especially if taking SJW on an empty

stomach is slight nausea which if taking L-Phenylalanine for

enhanced activity - alertness is necessary [taking on an empty

stomach that is]. Personal experience too.

8 -You are one of those who can not take SJW in any form at any

dose.
