Guest guest
Jim, I saw Dr. Cheney in Feb. and we discussed the steps to take to try to get me prepared to take HGH. 2 issues he raised in this initial discussion of HGH- 1)any cancer cells that are present when take HGH, will be inordinately multiplied. Doesn't " cause " cancer, but if you have cancer already, at any stage, the HGH will accelerate it's growth. 2)HGH will also cause viruses to accelerate their replication. Why? Because HGH increases protein synthesis, which is crucial for cancer or viral cells to proliferate. So, his tx. plan called for me to take Isoprinosine(Imunovir), which helps to modulate your immune system, but also treats Herpes Simplex 1 & 2. Then, one of the few tests he ordered was a Herpes virus panel that tests for HHV4,5,6 & 7 to rule out any CURRENT infection, since it is a PCR test which doesn't test for past or latent infection, only current. He didn't discuss any testing for cancer, but I will bring this issue up before we get to the point of actually getting to the HGH protocol step. To be fair, Dr. Cheney will probably bring it up later down the road as well, this was my first appt. with him in some time, so we didn't go over everything involved in going forward with the HGH tx. since I'm a fair way off from that. Several steps to go before I'd be ready to start HGH tx. Maybe Steve B. could tell us what he knows about the AMAS test. I know very little about it. I asked a different doc about it who used HGH and he said the level of reliability of the test had not been established yet, that it was still very experimental. But, maybe Steve B. knows of some research/info. on AMAS test and it's proven reliability for predicting the presence of cancer in the body. I'd love to know more since I want the best assurance I can get before I take HGH that there's no cancer present. Steve B. or others---are there any other organisms besides cancer and viral cells that can be really problematic re: increasing their replication when using HGH?? Like Myco's, chlamydia, lyme, parasites, etc.??? Below is the URL for Greta Moorkens dissertation on CFS and metabolic, clinical, endocrine, and growth hormone(and HGH tx.). Dr. Cheney referred to her work alot during my appt. with him. He seemed to really respect her work, so I would think your doc would be impressed with her work on HGH and HGH tx. in CFS cases. Hope this helps. (Scroll down to Table of Contents in her paper). You'll have to type in the URL since it won't fit on one line here. http://listserv.surfnet.nl/SCRIPTS/WA.EXE?A2=ind0006C & L=me- net & P=R1606 & m=1168 Best of luck, Jim! Hope this helps! Would appreciate any feedback from you, Steve B. re: AMAS test or anyone else that knows anything about this test for screening for cancer! Thanks and better health! Guest guest
K, I would try searching the internet for AMAS. I at one time had a several page write up on the test and it's reliability but no longer have it.
