Guest guest
Steve, you asked where TAQMAN PCR testing is available. Cheney uses Commonwealth Biotechnologies in Richmond VA. I've had their HHV panel (EBV, CMV, HHV 6a, HHV 6b, HHV 7). It's done by TAQMAN assay. The lab is now supposed to be offering mycoplasma and chlamydia pn. also. It's quite something to see your results expresses as DNA copies per ml of blood. At just over 17,000 copies last summer, my HHV 7 count was considered low. (Now it's zero!!!) Cheney has had folks way up there - 200,000, even over 300,000 on occasion.
