Guest guest
> My younger son is the more severe, non verbal, somewhat > agressive, and suffering from constant digestive upsets. By your description of your son, he sounds like he would respond well to the Peptizyde and Zyme Prime. Since he has constant digestive upsets and is nonverbal, I can understand him being aggressive, i.e. he feels terrible a lot of the time. I did find that MOST people (over 75% of those with successful results) said their child's language improved in numerous ways. This was the one surprising find for me personally. Before, I just didn't think a digestive problem would be related to language but apparently it does in a big way. Are you on any type of restrictive diet at the moment? Just wondering. . Guest guest
Nutritional therapy is an ADJUNCT therapy. Early intervention and intensity with consistency is what children need who are autistic. It is not diet alone. If you need to discuss interventions for speech development e-mail me privately...Joni >From: kjorn@... >Reply- > >Subject: [ ] Re: Please help....../language >Date: Mon, 03 Sep 2001 15:02:48 -0000 > _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
Guest guest
<<Nutritional therapy is an ADJUNCT therapy.>> I have to say it is our experience that without Nutritional/dietary therapy, my son could not learn. We had ST, OT, PT and a language teacher as a mom and still my son was not " present " to learn until we got the fog out of his brain enough to learn. My opinion of course, but learning becomes much more efficient when you first implement dietary/nutritional therapy, therefore it is not an adjunct, but a necessity. Guest guest
Absolutely...For all of us...a necessity. Thank you all so much for your replys. He is currently GF and does not eat dairy on his own. You are right, he does feel terrible most of the time. I have always known this is the cause of his agressions, but have a tough time convincing the school, etc. I am going to order these enzymes and try them for him. Another question if you don't mind-any negative side effects in the beginning? Do you think it would be best to start over a school vacation or perhaps just a weekend? Thank you again so very much. Guest guest
In the beginning you may see any of the following side effects, or none of them. Most of these are characteristic of any enzyme product when you start. Hyperactivity Increased Awareness/Sensory Regression Increase in Thirst Irregular Bowels Bed-wetting Stomach Ache Most parents seeing any of these side effects posted that they were resolved within 2-3 weeks, and that these issues where usually mild and quite manageable. Most of the time, there are positive behaviors occurring at the same time as these side effects. My younger son had loose stools for the first couple of days, and was very thirsty. I am sending you a document with details on why these effects may occur and what to do about them if anything. I think starting over a weekend is fine, just up to you. .
